2、GE: 1/4 ISSUED DATE: 1995. 09. 25 REVISED DATE: 2008. 10. 15 VERSION: 5 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Note: This standard may be applied only for current project (incl. T255 Program). It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW14189. 1. PURPOSE This standard is an extension of designi
3、ng activities and defines the general test conditions regarding Assist Grip durability and strength. 2. SCOPE The standard is applied to assist grip to be fixed onto all kinds of vehicles (sedans, multi-purpose passenger cars, etc) that are produced in GMDAT 3. TESTING EQUIPMENT 3.1. Fixed Jig 3.2.
4、Pneumatic Cylinder & Control Box 3.3. U.T.M (UNIVERSAL TEST MACHINE) 4. TEST PIECE PREPARATION 4.1. If the test piece is different from the one that has been approved or needs design modification so that it is deviated from the standard specifications, the test piece supplier must notify it to the p
5、erson in charge of the testing. 4.2. The supplier must check data on dimensions measurement and send it to the user. If there is any slight difference, the supplier must notify it of the user. 4.3. Unless otherwise specified, keep the test piece at the standard temperature and humidity (205, 6520%)
6、and then perform a test on it. Maintain the tightening torque as indicated in the drawing. 5. TESTING METHODS AND REQUIREMENTS Assist grip has three types as shown in Figure 1. 7、O Auto & Technology Figure1. Assist Grip 5.1. Durability Test 5.1.1. Testing Method (1) Fix a test piece onto the jig fixture (or reinforced buck of a real complete car) under the same condition when it is fixed onto a real complete car. Keep it at an angle of 3035 (See Fig2.). (2) Maintain a soft s
8、ubstance like rubber plate buffer between the jig fixture and the assist grip so that the assist grip can be protected from any damage. (3) Install a jig of 5070mm in width for a load application as shown in Fig. 2. Follow (4) Test Conditions. (Fig. 2) DURABILITY TEST OF ASSIST GRIP EDS-T-4302PAGE:

Folding durability To perform a durability test on a folding type of assist grip, follow the method as below. 5.3.1. Test method (1) Fix a test piece onto the jig fixture (or reinforced buck of a r

Try the test of 10,000 cycles at a speed of 4 cycles per minute at a room temperature. 5.3.2. Requirements After the test, there must be no deformation, damage, or crack on the grip. 6. CODING SYSTEM The standard must be marked on the drawing as follows: “This part or component must comply with EDS-T-4302.” Any additional requirement must be indicated on the drawing and applied prior to the standard.
