3、3 and GMW14518. 1. PURPOSE This procedure verifies durability of the slider against fatigue generated from changes of the seat position by passengers. 2. SCOPE All types of seats with the slider function 3. TEST SAMPLES Minimum three new assembled seats 4. TEST EQUIPMENT AND JIG 4.1. BIW (Body in Wh
4、ite) or jig for fitting seats in vehicle conditions 4.2. Durability tester 4.3. Weight 5. METHODS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF TEST 5.1. Test Method 5.1.1. Fit the BIW or the seat-fixing jig on the durability tester, and then mount a seat on the jig. 5.1.2. Set the seat adjuster systems to the positions sp
5、ecified in the design standard. 5.2. Measurement of the slider operating force of the manual adjuster systems 5.2.1. Set the guide rail by making use of the BIW or seat-fixing jig in vehicle conditions. 5.2.2. Place the weight of 100 kg on the seat cushion. 5.2.3. Release the locking device, and mov
6、e the cushion frame forward and backward to measure the operating force. 5.3. Measurement of the lever operating force of the manual adjuster systems 5.3.1. Pull the lever at the position 10 mm from the end of the knob to measure the load as shown in the following figure. 5.4. Test method of durability of the manual adjuster systems 5.4.1.
8、Place the weight of 80 kg on the seat cushion. 5.4.2. Place the weights of 80 kg on both sides of the bench seat respectively. 5.4.3. Set the slider to the forefront position. 5.4.4. Release the locking device, and move the slider to the rearmost position (where the guide rail touches the stopper) i
9、n speed of 0.1 0.3 m/sec. 5.4.5. Release the locking device, and move the seat in forward direction to make the poke slide and is locked in the end position. 5.4.6. Release the locking device, and move the seat to the rearmost position (where the guide rail touches the stopper) in speed of 0.1 0.3 m
10、/sec. 5.4.7. Release the locking device, and move the seat in forward direction to make the poke slide and is locked in the end position. 5.4.8. Repeat the procedure on the front seat for 15000 cycles and on the rear seat for 3000 cycles. Each cycle consists of procedures defined in item 5.2.2 throu
11、gh 5.2.5. 5.5. Test method of durability of the power adjuster systems 5.5.1. Place the weight of 80 kg on the seat cushion. 5.5.2. Place the weights of 80 kg on both sides of the bench seat respectively. 5.5.3. Set the slider to the forefront position. 5.5.4. Reciprocate the slider in full stroke a
12、t DC 12 V voltage. 5.5.5. Supply the power to make the forefront and the rearmost part of the slider contact with the stopper for two seconds or longer. 5.5.6. Repeat the procedure on the front seat for 7500 cycles and on the rear seat for 3750 cycles. Each cycle consists of single reciprocation. 5.6. Evaluation 5.6.1. The slider shall be free of abnor
14、mal operation. 5.6.2. The slider shall be free of crack or damage. 5.6.3. The operating force of the slider before and after the test shall be pursuant to the regulations in the drawings. 5.6.4. The operating force of the lever shall be pursuant to the regulations in the drawings. 5.6.5. The front seat shall be free of abnormal noise up to 5000 cycles, and the rear seat up to 1000 cycles during the test.
