TEST EQUIPMENT AND JIG 4.1. Jig for fitting seat backs or headrests in vehicle conditions 4.2. Load measuring instrument 4.3. Dur
4、ability tester 5. METHODS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF TEST 5.1. Test method of upward and downward operating forces 5.1.1. Fit the seat back or the headrest-fixing jig on the durability tester, and mount the headrest on the jig. 5.1.2. While moving the headrest parallel with the headrest rod to the upperm
5、ost position, measure the operating force. 5.1.3. After releasing the locking device, measure the operating force while moving the headrest parallel with the headrest rod to the lowermost position. 5.2. Test method of upward and downward durability 5.2.1. Fit the seat back- or the headrest-fixing ji
6、g on the durability tester, and mount the headrest on the jig. 5.2.2. Move the headrest to the uppermost position as shown in fig. 1. 5.2.3. Release the locking device, and then move the headrest to the lowermost position. 5.2.4. Repeat the test for 3000 cycles in speed of 10 20cpm. Each cycle consi
7、sts of the procedures defined in items 5.1.2 and 5.1.3. 5.3. Fit the seat back- or
8、 the headrest-fixing jig on the durability tester, and mount the headrest on the jig. 5.3.2. Measure the operating forces at the loading point 90 mm above the pivoting center point of the headrest. 5.4. Test method of front and rear durability 5.4.1. If the headrest is adjustable in front and rear d
9、irection, perform the durability test with the samples for the upward and downward durability test. 5.4.2. Move the headrest to the forefront position, and then return it to the rearmost position as shown in fig. 2. 5.4.3. Repeat the test for 3000 cycles in speed of 10 20cpm. Each cycle consists of
10、the procedures defined in item 5.2.2. 5.5. Evaluation 5.5.1. The headrest shall be free of abnormal operation after the test. 5.5.2. The appearance of the rod shall be free of defect after the test. 5.5.3. The upward/downward operating force, the left/right operating force and the sleeve knob releasing force before and after the test shall satisfy the regulations in the drawings. Figure 1 Figure 2
