3、7. 1. PURPOSE This procedure verifies durability of the lumbar support against the operation fatigue. 2. SCOPE Seats with lumbar support function 3. TEST SAMPLES Minimum three new assemble seat 4. TEST EQUIPMENT AND JIG 4.1. Jig for fitting seats in vehicle conditions 4.2. Jig for placing the seat b

4、ack in horizontal direction 4.3. Back pan (weight 29 kg) 4.4. Durability tester 5. METHODS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF TEST 5.1. Test Method 5.1.1. Fit the BIW or the seat-fixing jig on the durability tester, and then mount a seat on the jig. 5.1.2. Set the seat back to the position specified in the desig

5、n standard, and then fix the seat back horizontal with the jig as shown in fig. 1. 5.1.3. Load the back pan with weight of 29 kg on the seat back. 5.1.4. Move the seat back to the forefront position with the lumbar support knob, and then to the rearmost position. 5.1.5. Repeat the test for 5000 cycl

6、es in speed of 10 20cpm. Each cycle consists of the procedure defined in item 5.1.4. 5.2. Measurement method of operating force 5.2.1. Fit the BIW or the seat-fixing jig on the durability tester, and then mount a seat on the jig. 5.2.2. Measure the operating force throughout the zones while moving t

7、he seat back to the foremost position with the lumbar support knob, and then to the rearmost position. 8、ver type, measure the load at the point 10 mm from the end of the lever. If the knob is of dial type, measure the momentum operating force. 5.3. Evaluation 5.3.1. No abnormal noise shall occur during the test. 5.3.2. The back frame and the lumber support devices shall be free of crack and damage. 5.3.3. The lumber support devices shall be free of abnormal operation. 5.3.4. The front/rear operating force before and after the durability test shall satisfy the specifications in the drawings. Figure 1
