APPLICABLE EXTENT Applied only for passenger car & MPV. 3. TEST EQUIPMENT High-pressure spray hose (using equipment of car wash in GARAGE) 4.

3、 TEST VEHICLE CONDITION Vehicle in good engine operating condition (i.e: starting) equipped with engine electric devices of standard spec and mounted with the relay in the relay box in engine room. 5. TEST PROCEDURE 5.1. Test preparation 5.1.1. Check the vehicle starting & stability at idle conditio

4、n and record the result in Appendix 1. 5.1.2. Check damage in engine electric devices & relay box by visual inspection and record the details in Appendix 1 after replacing the components if impossible to carry out test. 5.1.3. Record load sorts operated by inner relay in Appendix 1 after opening rel

5、ay box. 5.1.4. Operate the road in Para 5.1.3, check and record the operating condition in Appendix 1. 5.1.5. Place the vehicle in car wash in GARAGE. 5.2. Washing test at engine stop (KEY-OFF) 5.2.1. Set engine to off. 5.2.2. Separate battery earth cable from battery to avoid electric devices damag

6、e by battery short. 5.2.3. Tester stands on the front central line axis and locates himself in position available to spray water away from 50cm between high-pressure spray inlet and engine. 5.2.4. Wash car in the manner of Fig. 1 after finishing preparation and the time is to less than 5min EDS-T-50

Do not spray water on distributor, ignition coil/cable, relay box during spraying and wash car for clients satisfaction. 5.2.6. Perform natural dr

8、y for 30min and carry out evaluation according to procedure in Para 6.1. 5.3. Car wash test at idle condition 5.3.1. WARM-UP car sufficiently. (Up to engine idle RPM) 5.3.2. Wash car in the same manner of Para 5,2 with high-pressure spray. 5.3.3. Take caution of water mixing & battery short into AIR

9、 INDUCTION device. 5.3.4. Evaluation is based on Para 6.2. 6. EVALUATION 6.1. Car wash test at engine stop (KEY-OFF) BOGGIE: Normal starting and no abnormal condition at load operating. (Only, fuse disconnection is permissible by short.) 6.1.1. Connect battery cable. 6.1.2. Check the condition and r

10、ecord the result in appendix 2 by setting starting S/W to IGNITION. 6.1.3. Inspect and record water mixing into engine electric devices by discontinuing test at malfunction occurrence. 6.1.4. Start car in starting position if there is no malfunction after performing Para 6.1.2. 6.1.5. Record abnorma

11、l sound on performing at Para 6.1.4. and starting frequency till car is started. 6.1.6. Perform Para 6.1.3 if malfunction is occurred. 6.1.7. Record abnormal status (i.e: engine shivering) at idle condition. 6.1.8. Operate electric devices by relay in relay box at idle condition and check/record abn
