PURPOSE This standard aims at correctly evaluating performance of components of the remote keyless entry (hereinafter called “RKE”) and remote engine starter (hereinafter called “RES”) system transmitter and the immobilizer system transponder used for passenger ca
4、rs manufactured by GMDAT. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to components test of the RKE and RES system transmitter and the immobilizer system transponder used for passenger vehicles. 3. DEFINITION OF TERMS 3.1. Remote key transmitter A device which transmits high-frequency signals, which are modulate
5、d into function codes of the door opening/closing signals and security codes, to the receiver installed on the vehicle to perform door opening/closing 3.2. Transponder Having information related to the key code and encoding in the internal memory, it uses the internal antenna coil and toroidal coil
6、to perform communication, which involves the immobilizer, key code and encoding information. For operating power, it uses induced voltage between the transformer-type internal antenna coil and toroidal coil. 3.3. Modulation Mixing of coded digital signals with the carrier high frequency in order to
7、transmit the former to the air 3.4. RF (Radio Frequency) power Atmospheric wave power coming from the transmitter (Measured 3m in front of the transmitter) 3.5. Remote engine starter key A device which performs start or off of engine except functions of remote key transmitter 4. TEST CONDITIONS 4.1.

Standard test condition Unless specified otherwise, test is conducted under the normal standard test condition specified in KS 0006 (Standard atmospheric conditions). 4.3. Number of samples Unless specified otherwise, 12 samples shall be provided for DVP. 5. TEST EQU
10、IPMENT 5.1. Generals Measuring instruments used for test shall basically be calibrated by the national calibration institute and within the effective calibration period. 5.2. Thermostatic chamber Capable of maintaining temperature from 40 to +90, it shall have a minimum capacity of 100 liter. It sha
11、ll also be able to control relative humidity at each temperature to 95% with permissible error not exceeding +2 per temperature. 5.3. Vibration tester It shall be capable of performing test to KS R 1034 (Vibration Testing Methods for Automobile Parts). 5.4. Control device for durability test It shal
12、l be capable of automatically supply and cut-off voltage for module operation, detect defects and record progress time and number of cycles in durability test. 6. TEST PROCEDURES 6.1. Appearance test 6.1.1. Visual test (1) Conduct visual inspection (2) When observed visually, the module shall show n
13、o sign of harmful flaws, cracks, or other defects that may adversely affect the performance. 6.1.2. Dimensional test Specified samples based on KS B 5203 (Vernier Callipers) shall be used. Samples shall meet material requirements of the deign specifications and dimensional requirements in drawings.
14、6.2. Performance 6.2.1. (2) Unless specified otherwise, measuring shall be conducted at 3 test voltages within the operating voltage range. 6.2.2. Transmitter RF(Radio Frequency) performance (1) Test place : EMC chamber (2) Measuring positio

17、rity code test When function test is performed after security codes of any 5 transmitters are stored to the test sample using the diagnostic equipment, it shall operate normally without developing any troubles. It shall not operate by the action of transmitters other than those five whose codes are
18、stored. The security codes shall not be erased after power to the transmitter is cut off 6.2.4. Transponder reading test (1) Construct the immobilizer system to the design specifications equally. (2) Check if the operating distance between the immobilizer unit and the toroidal coil for normal commun
19、ication meets that specified in DWG such as push force, stroke. (3) In the above test, the toroidal coil shall remain inserted to the key cylinder. 6.2.5. Button operating effort test Measure the operating force with a force meter at the very center of the operating button by gradually applying the
20、force. Abrupt application of an excessive force shall be avoided. The result shall meet the requirements. 6.3. Electric resistance test 6.3.1. Reverse-voltage test - Test voltage : - (Max operating voltage)0.1V. - Test time : 2 minutes. - Test temperature : Standard test temperature under normal tem
21、perature and humidity. 6.3.2. 22、ton with 1 second ON and 5 second OFF as 1 cycle. The total number of cycles specified in DWG shall be met. 6.4. Weather environmental test 6.4.1. High temperature exposure When the initial performance is measured following 1 hour drying under the normal temperature and humidity after exposure to th
23、e following conditions, the transmitter shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range. In case of RES key, confirm to relevant DWG. (1) Test temperature : +853 (2) Test time : 96 hours 6.4.2. Low temperature exposure When the initial performance is
24、 measured following 1 hour drying under the normal temperature and humidity after exposure to the following conditions, the transmitter shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range. In case of RES key, confirm to relevant DWG. (1) Test temperature
25、: -403 (2) Test time: 96 hours 6.4.3. Humidity resistance When the initial performance is measured following 1 hour drying under the normal temperature and humidity after exposure to the following conditions, the transmitter shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the spe
26、cified allowable range. (1) Test temperature: +403 (2) Relative humidity: 952 % (3) Test time : 250 hours 6.4.4. Thermal shock (1) Test shall be performed alternating between high temperature and low temperature and temperature change duration of the thermostatic chamber shall not exceed 30 seconds.
27、 (2) When the initial performance is measured following 1 hour drying under the normal temperature and humidity after exposure to the following conditions, the transmitter shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range. In case of RES key, confirm t

29、 4 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 6.4.5. Frost test Expose the transmitter to -20 for 8 hours and subsequently to humidity of 95% and temperature of 38. When frost is formed following this, the transmitter shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range
30、 at the initial performance measurement. 6.4.6. Dust test With its button facing upward, place the transmitter at the center of the dust chamber and subject it to the following conditions. It shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range at the ini
31、tial performance measurement - Pause : 20 minutes - Dust spraying time : 5 minutes - Total operating time : 8 hours 6.4.7. Solution ingress test When stored in the sealed container for 48hours after salt water of 5wt% salt is uniformly applied onto its surface, the transmitter shall show no signs of
32、 functional defects. 6.4.8. Watertight test After being dipped 80mm deep in the following salt water for 1 minute, the transmitter shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range at the initial performance measurement. - Concentration : 5wt% - Temper

Mechanical environmental test 6.5.1. Battery terminal preservation capacit
34、y test Unless specified otherwise, transmitter batterys life shall be regarded as 2 years. When exchange 10 times for 2 years, there shall be no abnormality between the contact point of battery and fixed area of terminal and the terminal shall be not bend and each performance value shall stay within
35、 the specified allowable range at the initial performance measurement. 6.5.2. Vibration resistance test This test is conducted on the vibration tester in the vehicle condition. When the initial performance is measured following 1 hour of vibration under the following conditions, the transmitter shal
36、l operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range: (1) Frequency range : 25Hz 1000Hz (2) Acceleration : 4.34G/Hz at 25Hz, 0.1G/Hz at 1000Hz (3) Total acceleration : 2G (4) Test cycle : 24 hours for each direction(X, Y, Z) 6.5.3. Free fall test This test is
37、 conducted on a concrete floor. Free-fall the transmitter onto the concrete floors from a height of 1.2m, 3 times respectively for each of corner, right/left and front/back sides. The transmitter shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range at the
38、 initial performance measurement. 6.5.4. Crush test After a load of 70Kg is applied to its front for 1 second, the transmitter shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range at the initial performance measurement. 6.5.5. Key head strength test (1) T
39、his test applies to the key-integrated type transmitter. (2) When a torque of 400Ncm is applied, it shall not be functionally deformed and shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range at the initial performance measurement. (3) Torque shall be app
40、lied away from the RKE operating button. 6.6. Operation durability test 6.6.1. RKE key function operation durability (1) Construct the receiver, which can receive transmitted signals from the sample, to the vehicle condition. (2) Operate the sample to the specified sequence (1 second ON and 9 second
41、 OFF of the lock/unlock button) under the initial loading condition at the maximum operating temperature and standard operating voltage. With this as 1 cycle, perform a total of 15,300 cycles. (4) Ba
43、tteries of the sample may be replaced during test. 6.6.2. Immobilizer function operating durability (1) Construct the immobilizer system, which can receive the key code transmitted from the sample, to the vehicle condition. (2) When ignition power is turned 5 second ON and 5 second OFF under the act
44、ual loading condition at the maximum operating temperature and standard operating voltage (B+ source applied), check if the communication with the ECM corresponds to the operating mode specified in drawings. With this as 1 cycle, perform a total of 50,000 cycles. (3) During and after test, each part
45、 shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range. - Test temperature: -40 802.5 - Test temperature cycle : Same as RKE Operation temperature test in clause 6.6.1. 6.6.3. RES transmitter operating durability (1) Construct the receiver, which can recei
46、ve transmitted signals from the sample, to the vehicle condition. (2) Perform lock/unlock durability test according to clause 6.6.1 under the initial loading condition at the maximum operating temperature and standard operating voltage. Operate the sample to the specified sequence (2 seconds ON, 6 s
47、econds rest time, 1 second OFF and 1 second rest time of the start button). With this as 1 cycle, perform a total of 15,300 cycles. (3) During and after test, each part shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range. - Test temperature: Confirm to r
48、elevant DWG. - Test temperature cycle : Same as RKE Operation temperature test in clause 6.6.1. Electrostatic Discharge test This test shall be conducted under 4 15kV by EDS-T-5005 6.8. Tear down analysis While not included in evaluation items, this test shall be conducted whenever troubles are developed during test. 7.
