3、y GMW3172. 1. PURPOSE This standard is to test accurately on Passive Type Roof Antenna for all GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Company (hereinafter referred to as the “GMDAT“) produced automobile. 2. APPLICABLE EXTEND This standard applies to Passive Type Roof Antenna (hereafter, Antenna) including rela
4、y cable test method which applies on the Company produced vehicles. 3. TERMS & DEFINITION 3.1. Passive Type Roof Antenna The official name of protrude fixed antenna, it is protruded rod type which mounted on the roof of the vehicle. It also includes coaxial trunk-line, and Connector. 4. TEST CONDITI
5、ON 4.1. Standard Test Condition If no specified, test operation must proceed at the normal temp/humidity of 235. 4.2. Quantity of the DUT If not specified, use 12 DUT (6 for environmental test, 6 for durability test) for test operation 4.3. Test instrument & Equipment 4.3.1. General Subject: The Mea
6、suring Equipment must be approved by the Governmental Authority of Calibration and the period is to be valid. 4.3.2. RCL-Meter: Measured frequency can be measure from 1 and the ratio must be 0.11 % or higher. 4.3.3. Radio Frequency Signal Generator (RF Signal Generator): Must have usable Frequency r
7、ange of 30 to 300 , and Signal generating output of +13dBm or higher with less than 0.1dB tolerance. 4.3.4. Network Analyzer: Must have usable Frequency range of 30 to 300 with Vector analyzing capable, and the tolerance rate must be lower than 1%. 4.3.5. Control equipment for Durability Test: Must
8、kept records of test operation number. During the error occurrences, it must sense and remember the test operation number. 5. 9、ology 5.1. External Shape Test 5.1.1. Unaided Eye Test When inspecting an Antenna with naked eye, check for harmful crack, crevice, or other defects that may influence the performances. 5.1.2. Measuring Test Use specific vernier calipers to confirm the DUT matches with design specs and symmetrical t
10、o its size plan. 5.2. General Performance 5.2.1. Contact Resistance Specify the Mounting base with Pole attached and DC resistance at the end of trunk-line. If not specified, it should be within the range of 10m . 5.2.2. Trunk line Earth wire Resistance Measure the DC resistance from the end of Trun
11、k line shield to Input, and specify separately for each Trunk lines length. If no specification in the plan, the resistance must be with in 35 m if trunk lines length is longer than 1500mm, and 60 m if the trunk lines length is longer than 4000mm. 5.2.3. Antenna Ground Connection Resistance Attachin
12、g condition should be based on clause 5.2.8. DC resistance between main-body of antenna and Earth-wire must be lower than 10m . 5.2.4. Parallel Equivalent Resistance Measuring condition should be based on clause 5.2.8. Set RCL-Meter measuring frequency at 1 and the measurement must be higher than 80
13、0 . 5.2.5. Insulation Resistance Measuring condition should be based on clause 7.2.8. Impress DC 500V from the Insulation Resistance tester, and the Insulation Resistance must be less than 100 . 5.2.6. Trunk Line Tensile Measure the Tensile between the Main body & connector, and Main body & Lead wir
14、e of the trunk line. Must not have problems in performance or external appearances when load 133 N, and the Tensile measurement must be done where final connector is seceded and disconnected Lead wire. 5.2.7. Connector Connection Repeat the cast off procedure for 50times on Audio, Antenna and Trunk-
15、lines. At this point, measured insertion and cast-off force should be within the range of 22N90N. From the Maximum measurements out of 12, the minimal range should be within the range of 20% 5.2.8. Mounting Angle adjustment This test is to measure the Mounting angle adjust function at the mounting b
16、ase as stated in designed plan. The angle should be decided from the supplier if not specified on the designed plan. 17、lectrostatic Capacitance Mount the completely pulled out Antenna on top of the metal plate (1m for width/length). Mount the metal plate on top of the table with 1m height. Figure1. Configure the Measuring Meter as equal to Electrostatic Capacitance Measuring Meter. At this point, the Electrostatic c
18、apacitance for Antenna should be within the range of 50 pF to 90 pF when measure my the RCL-Meter with1 , and kept record separately on each relay cable and Antenna. The Electrostatic capacitance for relay-cable must be decided from the agreement between user and supplier, and it must be stated in d
19、esign plan. However if related standard is not specified, then it must satisfied the Electrostatic capacitance for each length of relay cable from table 1. Figure1. Selectivity (Q) Configure the Measuring Method as equal to 7.2.9 Measuring meter. Measuring frequency of Q-meter is1 , and the measurement must be grater
21、than 100. 5.2.11. AM Antenna Gain For AM gain, Evaluate as S-Parameter S21 by using Tem Wire as Transmitting Antenna. Configure the DUT as the figure 5.2.9, and measuring Height for Tem Wire should be 3m. When measuring relative gain from Maximum gain ratio of standard Monopole Antenna, the value mu

23、FM must be measure by the Bi-conical Antenna as the Transmitting Antenna, and evaluate with the vertical & horizontal lien S-Parameter S21. Configure the DUT as the figure 5.2.9, and measuring distance from the transmitting Antenna should be 3m or 10m. The height of Transmitting Antenna should be 1.
24、4m. When measuring the relative gain from Maximum ratio of untested antenna and Maximum ratio of standard Dipole Antenna (same position), the value must not have great difference with 2.14f i. 5.2.13. Antenna Impedance Calibrate 50 or 75 for network analyze Calibration. Set the measuring frequency r
25、ange of the network analyzer for minimum to maximum frequency. If not specified on the design plan, the measurement of standing-wave ratio shell be within the range of FM 5:1. 5.3. Temp Negligence Test 5.3.1. High Temp Negligence Test Set the test temp at +80 and negligent time should be 96hrs. When
26、 the temp of thermostat reaches the test temp, store the Antenna into the thermostat. At this point, storing time began when surface temp of the antenna reaches the test temp. (Or after 5min from storing the DUT) Store the antenna for 72hrs. For the DUTs that finished the temp negligence test, expos
27、e at the normal temp/humidity for 2hr and operate External-shape test on 5.1 & Performance test on 5.2. The measurement can not be contrary more than 5% and match the requested satisfactory on clause 5.1. 5.3.2. Low Temp Negligence Test Set the temp of thermostat as the design plan or provided test
28、specification. If not specified set the temp at -40. When the temp of thermostat reaches the test temp, store the Antenna into the thermostat. At this point, storing time began when surface temp of the antenna reaches the test temp. (Or after 5min from storing the DUT) Store the antenna for 72hrs. F
29、or the DUTs that finished the temp negligence test, expose at the normal temp/humidity for 24hr and operate External-shape test on 5.1 & Performance test on 5.2. The measurement can not be contrary more than 5% and match the requested satisfactory on clause 5.1. 5.3.3. High Temp/Humidity Negligence
30、Test Set the Temp/Humidity of the Thermostat & Thermohygrostat as the design plan or provided test specification. If not specified, set the Temp/Humidity at +40 & 95%. When the Temp/Humidity of thermostat & Thermohygrostat reaches the test Temp/Humidity, store the Antenna into the thermostat& Thermo
31、hygrostat. At this point, storing time began when surface Temp/Humidity of the antenna reaches the test Temp/Humidity. (Or after 5min from storing the DUT) Store the antenna for 24hrs. For the DUTs that finished the temp negligence test, after exposing at the normal temp/humidity for 24hr, the measu
32、rement from 6.2.1 through 6.2.11 must not contrary more than 5%. 5.4. Corrosiveness Resistance Mount the antenna as the vehicle attach angle, prepare with the Housing and put it into salt-water sprayer the salt-water(5% Sodium Chloride NaCl) with 95% distilled water . The NaCl must not have Ni (Nike

The pH balance of spraying wat
34、er should be pH 6.57.2 when measured under the temp of +253. When spraying the salt-water, set the temp at +35. At this time, the salt-water can not be spray directly to the DUT. Spraying time should be set at 144hrs for Chrome or Stainless metal, and 48hrs for Zinc galvanizing or zinc plate. When f
35、inished spraying, wash lightly the Antenna with warm water (+35or less) to remove salt-water remains, let dry for 1hr, check for corrode. However, the joint & relative metallic parts must not have any corrode. 5.5. Durability 5.5.1. Pole Failure Durability Set the Vehicle attach angle as maximum for
36、 the Antenna, and operate the test with the test temp of +70& -30. Penetrate 1,600 times with rectangular aluminum stick at the 10% point of the end of maximum attach angle to the basis, and check for external damages. After the test, must satisfy the qualification of 5.1 and bend angle can not be m
37、ore than 10cm. 5.5.2. Folding Durability On the real car attaching condition, operate the test with the temp of +70& -30. Set 1cycle as folding maximum to minimum attach angle, and repeat 1,600 Cycles. Check if it qualifies with the general performance qualification as stated on 5.2. Division Chambe

Vibration Test This test proceeds after the durability test. The DUT should be mounted to
39、 Vibration Tester as the real vehicle condition. Vibrating Condition should be 3.2G (rms) based on vehicle external mounted components, and test it for 2hrs. During the test, the DUT must not have degradation due to fallen parts, Rattle Noise, or joint by resonance. Last but not least, the attach an
40、gle control capability must not be lose. 41、te ground. Drop the DUT from 1m high with edge, left/right, and front/rear side facing ground for 3 times each. The DUT must not have harmful effect on its performance when free fall. 5.8. Tear Down Analysis This test is not required as evaluation item. However this must proceed when malfunction occur or after the endurance test. 6.
