However, all measuring variables as specified in this standard shall be determined correctly with respect to their physical definition. 3.1.3 Apparatus and Reagents. A

4、pparatus and reagents as required in EDS-T-7603. 3.1.4 Test Piece. Tests shall be conducted on complete components. For initial samples approval and arbitration purposes, at least 3 test pieces, and for routine quality control at least one test piece shall be tested. 3.2 Conditions. 3.2.1 Conditioni

5、ng. Test pieces shall not be tested within 72 hours of manufacture. Unless otherwise specified, conditioning shall be as required by the appropriate test method. 3.2.2 Test Conditions. Deviations from the requirements of this standard shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be specified

6、 on component drawings, test certificates, reports, etc. 3.3 Safety. This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment. This standard does not propose to address all the safety problems associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish

7、 appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. 3.4 Documentation. Samples of components or material released to this standard shall be tested for conformity with the requirements of this standard and approved by the responsible GM Dep

8、artment prior to the start of delivery of production level components or materials. Any change to the component or material, e.g., design, function, properties, manufacturing process and/or location of manufacture requires a new release of the product. It is the sole responsibility of the supplier t

9、o provide the customer, unsolicited, with documentation of any change or modification to the product/process, and to apply for a new release. If not otherwise agreed to, the entire verification test shall be repeated and documented by the supplier prior to start of delivery of the modified or change

13、11 General Motors Company All Rights Reserved July 2011 Page 3 of 4 Version : 5 4 Requirements and Procedure Molded components shall comply with the following requirements. 4.1 General Requirements. 4.1.1 They shall not contain any constituent likely to give rise to health hazards or skin irritants.

14、 4.1.2 Volatile constituents both as received and after steam autoclave aging to EDS-T-7671 and dry heat aging to EDS-T-7672 shall be minimal and shall not be detrimental to serviceability. 4.1.3 They shall be of uniform mechanical properties, surface condition, and appearance. Defects which adverse

15、ly effect the appearance or utility of the part shall be cause for rejection. In particular components shall be free from voids, hard areas, unformed areas, blisters and cracks. Color and grain will be specified on the relevant engineering drawing. 4.1.4 The cellular core of the components shall be

16、of uniform structure and the change from skin to core shall occur gradually. The mechanical strength and structure shall be such that the component is able to withstand the anticipated service stresses without damage. 4.1.5 The adhesion of the foam to any reinforcing parts shall be such that the com

17、ponent is able to withstand service stresses. The actual adhesive strength requirement will normally be shown on the engineering drawing. 4.1.6 Parts shall comply with the following requirements when used for internal applications: 4.1.6.1 Resistance to Odor (EDS-T-7603). y A2: Rating 5 min. y B2: R
