This test method determines the effects of humidity ageing on cellular materials. The test attempts, by the use of water vapour at elevated temperature, to simulate the natu
4、rally occurring effects of oxidation and hydrolysis. Deterioration of the material is observed by measurements of physical properties prior to and after ageing. 1.2 Applicability. None 3 Resources 3.1 Equipment. 3.1.1 A Steam Autoclave or Similar Vessel. This shall be capable of maintaining the required temperature to within 1K and of withstanding the
6、absolute pressure of up to 2.5 bar (250 KPa). 3.1.2 Sample Supports such that, during test, test pieces are supported such that they do no contact one another, the sides of the vessel or the water.
