T255 Program). It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW14124.
、 1. PURPOSE This standard evaluates resistance of assemblies or unit frames of the door trims for interior parts in a vehicle against heat or climatic environments. 2. SCOPE Door trim assemblies and unit frames for interior parts in vehicle However, the scope does not include those of plastic bare t
、ypes produced by injection molding process. 2.1. Test of door trim assembly: The heat-climatic resistance test is executed on actual field conditions. 2.2. Molded unit frame: Heating-cooling cycle test is executed on bonded or welded part between the base materials and clothing (inclusive of foam ma
、terials). 3. TEST SAMPLES 3.1. Test samples 3.1.1. The door trim assembly is attached with required components if any and mounted on the door panel for test on the actual field conditions. 3.1.2. The welded or molded frame is tested as it is without attachment of components. 3.2. Number of test samp
、les 3.2.1. Minimum three samples for the approval test 3.2.2. Minimum one sample for the acceptance inspection 4. PRETREATMENT CONDITIONS Neither the approval test nor the acceptance inspection demands the pretreatment on the test samples. 5. TEST EQUIPMENT 5.1. Test devices for mounting the door tr
、im 5.1.1. Door panel for test on identical conditions of mounting on a vehicle 5.1.2. Components to be attached on respective fastening positions defined in the drawings (side clip, inside handle, switch cover, deposit box, etc.). 5.2. A hot chamber unit installed with the infrared lamps for indepen
、dent adjustment of respective surface temperature and ambient temperature. The deviation of the temperature shall be within 2.0. EDS-T-7691THE TEST METHOD OF HEAT-CLIMATIC RESISTANCE OF DOOR TRIM PAGE: 2/4 ISSUED DATE: 1998. 10. 02 REVISED DATE: 2008. 10. 15 VERSION: 3 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 5.
、3. An air circulation chamber with temperature deviation within 2.0. 5.4. A humidity chamber capable of maintaining relative humidity of 955% at the temperature 40 60. 5.5. A cold chamber capable of maintaining the temperature of -303K 5.6. A knife for cutting the test samples 5.7. A scale for measu
、rement of dimensions of the test samples 5.8. A measuring instrument for peeling resistance (pull-push gauge, universal testing machine, etc.) 6. TEST CONDITIONS 6.1. Heat resistance test for the door trim assembly Repeat the test on the conditions of (surface temperature of +105, ambient temperatur
、e of 90) 3 hours ambient temperature 1.5 hours for three times, and execute the test in the following order: -30 24 hours ambient temperature 1.5 hours +40 95% RH 24 hours ambient temperature 1.5 hours +90 24 hours. The scope of the surface is “Y surface” shown on the drawing. Fig. 1 contains an exa
、mple of the Y surface. 6.2. Heating-cooling cycle test for molded unit frame Repeat the test at (surface temperature of 100 5 hours -30 2 hours +60 95% RH 7 hours) twice. The surface temperature shall only be regulated with radiation of the infrared lamps. Any additional heating is not necessary. 7.
、 TEST SEQUENCE 7.1. Heat resistance cycle test for door trim assembly Attach the components on the door trim assembly on identical conditions as those in an actual vehicle. And then mount the door trim assembly on the door panel, and check the mounting status and the surfaces for any defect. 7.1.1.
、Draw marking lines both in horizontal and vertical direction on the door trim for checking for changes in dimensions. The length of respective line shall be longer than 250 mm. 7.1.2. Perform the tests on the conditions specified in item 6.1, and then cool the door trim to the ambient temperature. 7
、.1.3. The mark lines for length measurement shall be drawn explicit, and shall not give any adverse effects on the door trim. 7.1.4. Check for changes in shapes and measure the length at +235K after 605 minutes of the test. 7.1.5. Cut the clothing 15 mm wide with the knife, and peel the clothing at
、an angle of 30 in constant speed of 50 mm/min to measure the peeling resistance between the clothing and the base materials with the push-pull gauge or the universal testing machine. 17、2008. 10. 15 VERSION: 3 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 7.2. Test methods for molded unit frame 7.2.1. Cut the bent portions of the molded unit frame, particularly the upper and the armrest in 150 200 mm length with approximately 20 mm interval (Refer to fig. 1). 7.2.2. Apply the test conditions specifi
、ed in item 6.2. 7.2.3. The surface temperature shall only be adjusted by the infrared lamps. The ambient temperature shall additionally not be elevated. 7.2.4. Evaluate the shape after leaving the test sample for 605 minutes at +235K after the test. 8. EVALUATION Evaluate the heat resistance of the
、door trim in accordance with items 8.1 through 8.3, and the heating-cooling cycle test for the molded unit frame for peeling between the base materials and the clothing. 8.1. Changes in shape Check the shapes for any defects for use or application such as discoloration, shrinkage, wrinkle, bubble, a
、nd plastics leakage. 8.2. Changes in dimensions The evaluation of the changes in dimensions is based on difference in length (unit: %) between those before and after the test. 8.3. Peeling resistance The peeling resistance is defined as a force necessary for peeling the clothing from the base materi
、als. 9. RECORDING TEST RESULTS Record the test results in accordance with the requirements in item 8, and indicate the changes in dimensions with the maximum resolution of 0.01%. 10.
