This test procedure is useful for the definition of substances made of fuel hoses and other elastomer parts of the fuel system from which resulted the deposit in the case of copper and its alloy. 2 References Note: Only the latest approved standards are applicable unless otherwise specified

None 3 Resources 3.1 Equipment and Reagents. 3.1.1 Erlenmeyer flask 250 ml. 3.1.2 Round-bottom flask 250 ml. 3.1.3 Folded filter 125 mm. 3.1.4 Glass funnel. 3.1.5 Glass bead 3 1.5 mm.
5、 3.1.6 Copper chips. 3.1.7 Methanol-containing test fuel acc. to EDS-T-7014. 3.2 Test Piece. Cubic test specimens of 2 to 3 mm edge length are worked out from the elastomers to be tested. 20 g elastomers are required per test. 4 Procedures 4.1 Conditions. 4.1.1 Test Conditions. Deviations from the r
6、equirements of this standard shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be specified on component drawings, test certificates, reports, etc. 4.1.2 Pretreatment. The test is to be carried out no earlier than 72 hours in the case of first sampling and dispute no earlier 72 hours after the ma
7、nufacturing for the continuous quality inspection. The test specimen must be stored minimum 8 hours in the unloaded state at +23 E 5K prior to the test. 4.2 Instructions. 4.2.1 All envelopes are cleaned prior to start of test with EDS-T-7014. 8、General Motors Company All Rights Reserved November 2011 Page 2 of 2 Version : 3 4.2.2 20 g of the made test specimen are fitted with 10 g copper chips and 100 ml test fuel acc. to EDS-T-7014 under addition of 2 boiling beads and boiled 1h long by reflex. 4.2.3 Filtered by the folded filter in an Er
9、lenmeyer flask after 1 hour cooling. 4.2.4 The filtrate is stored 48 hours long at +23 E 5K in darkness in the closed Erlenmeyer flask. 5 Data 5.1 Evaluation. Fluid is judged by turbidity of separated crystal in connection with the storage term. No turbidity of formation of crystal may appear. 6 Saf
