Deviations from the requirements of this standard shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shal

9、l be specified on component drawings, test certificates, reports, etc. 4.2 Instructions. 4.2.1 Measure the viscosity of the lubricant sample at 100 E in accordance with EDS-T-7401. 4.2.2 Measure TAN (Total Acid Number) of the lubricant to test in accordance with EDS-T-7790. 4.2.3 Rinse the test hous

10、ing and the bearing with N-Hexane, dry them at 80 E for one hour, and then cool them in the desiccator to the room temperature. 4.2.4 Fill the test housing with approximately 40 ml of the lubricant, mount the bearing on the housing, and then close the lid. 4.2.5 Mount the test housing assembly on th

11、e 4-ball tester, and connect the thermocouples mounted on the housing with the thermocouples of the 4-ball tester. 4.2.6 Insert the drying air hose in the cooling water circulation inlet on the test housing. 4.2.7 If the drying air is not employed, use the cooling water device to cool the test housi

12、ng. 4.2.8 Execute Print, the 4-ball tester operating program. 4.2.9 Select DIN 51562 Shear Mode on the menu. 4.2.10 Select a file to record the test result data, and choose one of the test modes described in item 4.2.11 below. 4.2.11 The test can be performed by employing one of the four conditions:

14、 High position. 4.2.13 Start the equipment, and wait until the load reaches the target load on the monitor. 4.2.14 When the load on the equipment reaches the target load, press F3 key to rotate the shaft. 4.2.15 When the temperature reaches 58 E , open the drying air valve to cool the test housing,
