To determine the friction coefficient of window regulator slider, which affects the performance of glass guidance system. The information is

3、 used in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) model to predict the performance of glass guidance system. 1.2 Foreword. Not applicable. 1.3 Applicability. This procedure applies to all cable-drive regulator systems. 2 References Note: Only the latest approved standards are applicable unless otherwise spe

4、cified. 2.1 External Standards/Specifications. None 2.2 GM Standards/Specifications. None 3 Resources 3.1 Facilities. The regulator supplier is responsible for this test, which should be performed at suppliers facilities. 3.2 Equipment. Test fixture as described in 4.3.1. 3.3 Test Vehicle/Test Piece

5、. Window Regulator Slider from window regulator assembly. 3.4 Test Time. Calendar time: 1 day Test hours: 1 hour Coordination hours: 1 hour 3.5 Test Required Information. 6、ental Conditions. Test to be done at ambient at normal humidity. 4.2.2 Test Conditions. Deviations from the requirements of this standard shall have been agreed upon. 8、 Weight Locations 4.3 Instructions. 4.3.1 Mount the slider in a fixed rigid fixture. Attach cable with a contact angle of 180 degrees. Remain equal length for both ends. 4.3.2 Hang equal weight to each end of cable. Record the weight (T2). 4.3.3 Gradually increase weight to 1 end of cable until the

9、cable begins to move. Record the final weight (T1). 4.3.4 Substitute T1, T2 into the equation in 5.1 to calculate the friction coefficient s. 4.3.5 Change the balance weight (T2), and repeat Steps 4.3.2 through 4.3.4 for another 4 estimates. 4.3.6 Average the 5 estimates. 5 Data 5.1 Calculations. Glass Guidance System: A hardware subsystem of side-door, end-gate, or mid-gate which controls the movement of window glass. Slider: A component of window regulator,

14、in which the driving cable slides through the contact surface when the glass is in movement. Window Regulator: A hardware subsystem of glass guidance system, which provides the mechanism of glass movement. 7.2 Acronyms, Abbreviations, and Symbols.
