A-Component: Polyol component ready for processing in which the ageing and hydrolysis stabilizer is totally dissolved with amine free activators and foaming agent. B-Component: Diphenylmethandiisocyanate (MDI) and higher condensed isocyanates. 1.2 Symbo
3、ls. Not applicable. 1.3 Typical Applications. For back foaming of deep drawn foils, e.g., instrument panel. 1.3.1 Type 1. Type 1 has a defined density of 125 15 kg/m. 1.3.2 Type 2. For Type 2, the density is specified per approved material on the engineering drawing/in the math data. The density sha

6、 The components manufactured from this foam must be homogeneous with regard to their foam structure, cell size, mechanical properties and surface condition. 3.1.1 The components shall be free from cracks, hard areas, blisters, unfoamed areas (voids) and other defects which could adversely affect the
7、 serviceability. 3.1.2 Foam reinforcement shall be securely bound to the foam and shall show no voids or cracks around them. Over the cross section, the foam shall show a uniform structure. 3.2 Test Piece and Number. If it is not possible to take test pieces from the part, then suitable plates shall
8、 be manufactured for the test (taken from equal manufacturing process, recipe of foam and density). The test piece shall be taken without skin and in rising direction of foam. 3.2.1 Aged Test Pieces. The foam is aged as a block (taken from equal manufacturing process, recipe of foam and density). Af
9、ter ageing, the test piece shall be taken from the aged foam block without skin and in rising direction of the foam. The indentation hardness test piece shall be taken from a foam block with skin. The same foam block shall be tested as received and after ag
11、eing. 3.3. Conditioning. Immediately prior to test, all test pieces shall be pre dried at +70 C 3 C and conditioned. The pre-drying period shall be 16 h for tests conducted after humidity aging to ASTM D3574-J/GMW14357 and shall be 3 h for other tests. Following pre-drying, all test pieces shall be
12、conditioned to GMW3221, Code A. 3.4 Required Performance Values. All requirements listed in Table 1 shall be fulfilled by the delivered foam and shall be documented by the supplier in the Foam Certification Data Form (see Appendix A). 3.5 Basic Foam Physical Properties. All requirements listed in Ta
13、ble 2 shall be fulfilled by the delivered foam and shall be documented by the supplier in the Foam Certification Data Form (see Appendix A). Values indicated with “TBD” (To be Determined) shall be documented and may be noted on the drawing/in the math data for production quality check purposes. Valu

Samples of compon
28、ents or materials released to a GM material specification shall be tested for conformity with the requirements of this material specification and approved by the responsible Engineering department prior to commencement of delivery of bulk supplies. A new approval must be received for any changes, e.
29、g., properties, manufacturing process, location of manufacture, etc. If not otherwise agreed, all testing and documentation normally required for initial release must be completed. It is the responsibility of the supplier to inform the customer in a timely manner, without solicitation, and to includ
30、e documentation of all modifications of materials and/or processes and to apply for a new release. If not otherwise agreed, all release tests shall be repeated and documented by the supplier prior to commencement of delivery of non-conforming bulk supplies. In individual cases, a shorter test can be
31、 agreed to between the responsible Engineering department and the supplier. 5.4 Material Safety Data Sheets/Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS). For new product submissions, or when a change in chemical composition of an existing product has occurred, a complete copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet/Safe
32、ty Data Sheet must be submitted in compliance with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) requirements or other country-specific MSDS/SDS requirements. In addition, product MSDS/SDS submissions must be in compliance with specific country General Motors TMC00
33、3 Material Safety Data Sheet/Safety Data Sheet guidance documents where available. 5.5 All materials supplied to this standard must comply with the requirements of GMW3059, Restricted and Reportable Substances for Parts. 6 Approved Sources Materials supplied to this specification must be approved by
34、 General Motors. A list of approved materials can be found in MATSPC. This GM Material File is provided to third parties to reduce redundant testing of materials. If approved material already listed is used, the part supplier can use GM Material File reference for Production Part Approval Process (P
35、PAP) material approval. If the decision is made to use a not yet approved material, contact Materials Engineering for details on the approval process.
