To develop air conditioning (A/C) diagnostic table for service manual and service technician usage. 1.2 Foreword. Not applicable. 1.3 Applicability. For all vehicles with vapor compression refrigerant sy

4、ces 3.1 Facilities. An ambient chamber is required that is large enough to fit the test vehicle. Ambient capability required from 15 C to 50 C at 10% to 80% relative humidity (RH). 3.1.1 Calibration. The test facilities and equipment shall be in good working order and shall have a valid calibration

5、label. 3.1.2 Alternatives. Alternative test facilities and equipment may also be used. However, all measuring variables as specified in this standard shall be determined correctly with respect to their physical definition. 3.2 Equipment. GMW15845 defines specific requirements of all test instrumenta

6、tion. 3.2.1 Temperature measuring devices to record front grille temperature, front left center instrument panel (I/P) outlet and left second row seat panel outlet (if there is a rear HVAC system). 3.2.2 Pressure measuring devices for test vehicle refrigeration system service ports (one high pressur

7、e and one low pressure). The following pressure transducer would be for a typical R134a refrigerant system; high pressure device capable of 0 kPa to 3500 kPa 50 kPa and low pressure device capable of 0 kPa to 500 kPa 0 kPa. 3.2.3 Battery charger to maintain vehicle battery during test. 3.2.4 Voltage

8、 measurement device to record test vehicle battery voltage. 3.2.5 Fan speed measurement device to record vehicle engine cooling fan speed for vehicles equipped with a mechanical engine cooling fan. 3.2.6 Voltage measurement(s) for each fan motor if vehicle is equipped with electric engine cooling fa

9、n(s) (identify if pusher/puller/left/right). 3.3 Test Vehicle/Test Piece. Passenger vehicles equipped with an A/C and heater system. 11、es are required for each unique idle service data set required for the service manual as determined by the Product Development Team (PDT). 3.4 Test Time. Calendar time: 1 to 2 days Test hours: 8 to 10 hours Coordination hours: 3 to 5 hours 3.5 Test Required Information. Not applicable. 3.6 Personnel

12、/Skills. One chamber operator. 4 Procedure 4.1 Preparation. Each vehicle shall be prepared for the climatic chamber testing with instrumentation described in 3.2. Vehicle shall have a full tank of gas and fully charged battery. Vehicles equipped with a refrigerant chiller require a method to power t

13、he chiller coolant pump on during this test. 4.2 Conditions. 4.2.1 Environmental Conditions. 4.2.1.1 Ambient. The temperature and humidity should be run as described in Table 1. Record the actual temperature and humidity at the test conditions from the facility instrumentation in the file CG2310 as

14、shown on Data Sheet A1. 4.2.2 Test Conditions. Deviations from the requirements of this standard shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be specified on component drawings, test certificates, reports, etc. 4.2.2.1 The ambient temperature should be maintained to 1 C of the desired temper

15、ature. See Table 1. 4.2.2.2 The relative humidity should be maintained to 3% of the desired humidity. See Table 1. No solar load (simulate service garage conditions). 4.3.2 Set test vehicle front and rear (when equipped) HVAC control head temperature

18、 control to Full Cold (for manual control systems) or 16 C (60 F) (for automatic climate control). 4.3.3 Set test vehicle front and rear (when equipped) HVAC control head blower speed to high position (14 V). 4.3.4 Set test vehicle HVAC control head air inlet to recirculation position. 4.3.5 Set tes

19、t vehicle transmission or drive unit in Park. Run test with engine running (including Electric Range Extending Vehicle (EREV) configuration) at idle condition. 4.3.6 Limit airflow as much as the test facility is capable (nozzle fully retracted) and use a 1.2 m (4 ft) high x 2.4 m (8 ft) wide idle bo

20、ard positioned 1.8 m (6 ft) in front of test vehicle (to block any residual airflow and best simulate service garage environment). 4.3.7 Set test vehicle hood open and remain open for test. 4.3.8 Set test vehicle drivers door windows down 15 cm from full upward, set remaining windows full up. 4.3.9

21、Light bank should be raised, solar simulation lamps off as noted in 4.3.1. 4.3.10 Battery charger shall be connected to test vehicle to maintain battery voltage between 11.5 V and 12.5 V during testing. Measure battery voltage during all test points. 4.3.11 When test vehicle is equipped with mechani

22、cal engine cooling fan, use an operating fan clutch. When equipped with electric engine cooling fan systems, allow the vehicle to control fan speed. 4.3.12 Start the engine with A/C off. Bring the engine to operating temperature before each test point. 4.3.13 Stabilize the chamber to the data point

23、test condition defined in Table 1. 4.3.14 Set A/C to on and chiller coolant pump system on (when equipped) and close all doors at start of each test point. 4.3.15 Record all data every minute for a total of 10 minutes at each test point. 4.3.16 Leave vehicle running between test points and turn A/C

24、off. Direct airflow to Vent/Panel Mode and leave blower on HIGH. Continue to power the chiller coolant pump (when equipped) between points and ensure the A/C compressor remains off. All passenger doors are opened and allow 15 minutes of chamber stabilization after reaching new chamber conditions. Be

25、tween the 15th data point and the 16th data point, allow 30 minutes of stabilization time after reaching new ambient. 4.3.17 Repeat 4.3.13 thru 4.3.16 until test conditions shown in Table 1 are completed. 4.3.18 Record the temperatures, fan speed, voltage and service port pressure at the 4, 5 and 6

26、minute points in CG2310 as shown on Data Sheet A1 (electronic spreadsheet is to be used). 5 Data 5.1 Calculations. Calculations are completed in electronic spreadsheet CG2310. 5.2 Interpretation of Results. Not applicable. 5.3 Test Documentation. Test information and measuring data to be recorded in

27、 CG2310 file. Fill out CG2310 as described on Data Sheet A1 (template available in Excel document CG2310) following instructions in the worksheets, and then send CG2310 worksheet file to the Service Engineer in each marketing region. 6 Safety This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations
