The tests are to be performed in the chamber at the temperature specified. Parts to be tested are not to be thermally soaked and, subsequently, removed from the

Any change to the component or material, e.g., design, function, properties, manufacturing process and/or location of manufacture requires a new release of the product.
、It is the sole responsibility of the supplier to provide the customer, unsolicited, with documentation of any change or modification to the product/process, and to apply for a new release. If not otherwise agreed to, the entire verification test shall be repeated and documented by the supplier prior
、 to start of delivery of the modified or changed product. In some cases, a shorter test can be agreed to between the responsible GM department and the supplier. 3.7.1 Test Results. Acceptance criteria are given within the text. Appendix B is an example of the data sheet that should be included in th

、1 Page 3 of 6 4 Requirements and Procedure 4.1 General. For this test, a switch installed into its mating interior trim plate and mounted to a durability fixture is to be used. 4.2 Performance Requirements. During the test and at the end of test, the switch shall be capable of being actuated with a
、single finger throughout its entire range of motion. 4.3 Actuation Testing. 4.3.1 Preparation. The switch is to be installed into the mating interior trim plate or panel in vehicle position. The switch and the mating interior trim plate or panel shall be checked for conformance to the current develo
、pment, drawing, and release status before each test. All attachment provisions shall be present, undamaged, and correctly installed. Any modifications shall be noted. Once the status of the parts is confirmed, the parts shall be secured to an appropriate durability fixture. The final results shall n
、ot be influenced by the fixture used. 4.3.2 Description of Cycles. Thermally soak the part in preparation for testing as shown in Table 1. The switch shall be actuated with a single finger (a single finger and a thumb for rotary switches) through a complete operational cycle (i.e., up and down for a
、 window switch) for a total of five (5) cycles. For momentary functions of switches, the switch is to return to original position without assistance. There should be minimal time between cycles. 4.3.3 End of Test Requirements. Table 2 is a summary of the results that are required after completion of
、 the test. Table 2: End of Test Requirements 1 The switch can be actuated in all directions without interference with the trim plate. 2 No cracks of the trim plate. 3 No cracks on the switch housing. 4 Attachment provisions between the switch and the trim plate are not broken. 5 Momentary function o
、n switches works smoothly and switch returns to neutral position. 4.4 Acceptance Criteria. Interfaces are rated as acceptable and unacceptable based on the end of test requirements. “Unacceptable“ results caused by the switch are to be reported to the electrical group and do not mean “unacceptable“
、for the interior trim. “Unacceptable“ results caused by the interior trim are to be reported to the interior group and do not mean “unacceptable“ for the switch. In cases where the “unacceptable“ result does not have a clear root cause, the issue is to be reported to both the electrical group and th
、e interior group. 4.5 Further Requirements. All parts are to be retained at the end of test for review by the electrical validation engineer, interior validation engineer, electrical release engineer, and interior release engineer. 5 Provisions for Shipping Not applicable. 6 Notes 6.1 Glossary. 29、mal Soak: Part is placed in an environmental chamber that is operating at the temperature and humidity referenced in the test description. The part remains in the chamber without being moved or actuated for the time period shown in the test description, no less than 30 minutes prior to start of test
