2、 Page 1 of 5 1 Scope 1.1 Material Description. This specification covers the properties of a flexible, heat stabilized, mineral filled, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Homopolymer, pellet form, extrusion or injection molding compound. Materials are delineated by “Type” indicating Shore A or D hardness and
3、“Grade”, indicating the intended molding process. 1.2 Symbols. The material abbreviation according to ISO 11469 is PVC . 1.3 Typical Applications. Typical applications include, but are not restricted to, automotive roof and moveable roof drain hoses, drain hose connectors and paintable grade PVCs. 1
4、.4 Identification. PVC materials approved to this specification will be called out on the engineering drawing indicating both attributes shown in Appendix A, Tables A1 and A2, e.g., GMW16575P-PVC-Type X-Grade X. In addition, if the nominal production Shore hardness for a component is different than
5、the nominal Type stated herein, it shall be called out specifically on the engineering drawing or in the math data, e.g., Type 1 = 60 5 Shore A, but 62 Shore A is being used, 62 X Shore A hardness shall be called out. 2 References Note: Only the latest approved standards are applicable unless otherw
