For those programs and commodities where an appendix J2 has been populated, the two documents must be used in conjunction to understand all of the serviceability requirements. 1.1 Scope. This spe
4、cification establishes the process for General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales Engineering to obtain the relevant diagnostic and programming data for specific programs to allow accurate authoring of diagnostic and programming software and service manual instructions. 1.2 Mission/Theme. The Suppl
5、ier Specification Process shall provide a reliable, effective, and flexible means to provide relevant diagnostic and programming specifications. 1.3 Classification. For all electrical/electronic control modules able to communicate via serial data where s
7、upplier is software and/or calibration responsible, the Supplier shall populate and submit a Diagnostic Application Chart to GM Customer Care and Aftersales. This document contains the program specific diagnostic content for all variations and configurations available for a given program. The suppli
8、er shall also submit the latest version of the Diagnostic Component Technical Specification as described in the appendix J1 for the commodity sourced. The details and timing of this deliverable are defined in the following paragraphs. 3.2 Retrieval of Latest Diagnostic Application Chart Template. Th
9、e Supplier shall obtain the latest Diagnostic Application Chart template from the GM SupplyPower website. The supplier shall choose the template for their specific commodity. If there is not a specific template for their commodity, choose the generic Diagnostic Application Chart template. 3.3 Delive
10、ry of Documentation. Once Supplier has completed the template, Supplier shall send the deliverable electronically to per the timing described in section 3.3.1.
