This specification describes low density material grad

2、es of mineral filled polypropylene copolymer, ultraviolet (UV) stable, pellet form, injection molding compounds. 1.1.1 Additional Characteristics. Materials certified to this material specification may have additional characteristics, e.g., paintable, mar and scratch resistance, elastomer modified,

3、etc. Possible additional characteristics are defined in GMW3013. 1.2 Symbols. The material abbreviation according to ISO 11469 is GMW17022P-PP/PE-M07. 1.3 Typical Applications. 6、General Requirements for Handling of Technical Terms of Delivery for Plastics. 3.1 Requirements on Test Specimens. Unless otherwise specified, injection molding of test specimens shall be accomplished per ISO 294 with the conditions for injection molding from ISO 1873-2. Test methods and specimen di

7、mensions are also to be in accordance with ISO 1873-2 with the following additions: use ISO 3167, Type 1A (GMW3221), thickness 4 mm, for tensile and flexural properties. All tests shall be performed on specimens 40 h minimum after molding and immediately following a conditioning period of 24 h minim

8、um in a controlled atmosphere per GMW3221, Code A, unless otherwise specified. All tests shall be performed on unannealed specimens. 3.2 Requirements on Delivery. Important physical, mechanical and thermal properties that characterize the material are summarized in Table 1 and Table 2. Note: For eac

9、h product, the requirements to Table 1 and Table 2 shall be documented by Certification Statement according to GMW3013. 11、specified in Table 2 shall be met by integrally colored test specimens. For integrally colored grades where other additive systems (e.g., stabilizer) are used, the impact values shall not decrease more than 10% from specified minimum value. 3.3 Chemical Requirements. All parts manufactured from mold

12、ing compounds shall be resistant to the media they contact at their place of use. 3.4 Compound Properties. See Table 1 and Table 2. The following are also required for full specification approval. The minimum number of lots per test required is one in natural: Tensile Modulus, Poissons Ratio, Stress

13、-Strain Curve at multiple temperatures, e.g., +23 C, +85 C, -30 C; and Multiaxial Impact Curve. See GMW3013 for the test procedures. 3.5 Performance Requirements. Performance requirements, e.g., flammability, fogging or resistance to odor, shall be specified on part drawings or in component specific

14、ations. All finished parts for interior applications shall meet the requirements according to GMW14444. All materials must satisfy applicable laws, rules, regulations and recommendations valid in the country of usage. 5.2 Language. In the event of co

37、nflict between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take precedence. 5.3 Inspection and Rejection. Samples of components or materials released to a GM material specification shall be tested for conformity with the requirements of this material specification and approved by t

38、he responsible Engineering department prior to commencement of delivery of bulk supplies. A new approval must be received for any changes, e.g., properties, manufacturing process, location of manufacture, etc. If not otherwise agreed, all testing and documentation normally required for initial relea

39、se must be completed. It is the responsibility of the supplier to inform the customer in a timely manner, without solicitation, and to include documentation of all modifications of materials and/or processes and to apply for a new release. If not otherwise agreed, all release tests shall be repeated

40、 and documented by the supplier prior to commencement of delivery of non-conforming bulk supplies. In individual cases, a shorter test can be agreed to between the responsible Engineering department and the supplier. For new product sub

42、missions, or when a change in chemical composition of an existing product has occurred, a complete copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet/Safety Data Sheet must be submitted in compliance with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) requirements or other coun

43、try-specific MSDS/SDS requirements. In addition, product MSDS/SDS submissions must be in compliance with specific country General Motors TMC003 Material Safety Data Sheet/Safety Data Sheet guidance documents where available. 5.5 All materials supplied to this standard must comply with the requiremen

44、ts of GMW3059, Restricted and Reportable Substances for Parts. 6 Approved Sources Materials supplied to this specification must be approved by General Motors. A list of approved materials can be found in MATSPC. This GM Material File is provided to third parties to reduce redundant testing of materi

45、als. If approved material already listed is used, the part supplier can use GM Material File reference for Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) material approval. If the decision is made to use a not yet approved material, contact Materials Engineering for details on the approval process. The mat
