Validation of the performance capability of an automatic vehicle Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning (HVAC) system by reproducibl

3、e measurements in a climatic wind tunnel. 1.2 Foreword. Not applicable. 1.3 Applicability. For all passenger vehicles with an Air Conditioning (A/C) system. 2 References Note: Only the latest approved standards are applicable unless otherwise specified. 2.1 External Standards/Specifications. None 2.

4、2 GM Standards/Specifications. GMW15845 3 Resources 3.1 Facilities. 3.1.1 Climatic wind tunnel including a chassis dynamometer with adjusting possibilities for a vehicle speed of 110 km/h minimum, a wind speed of 110 km/h minimum, an ambient temperature of 35 C to +50 C minimum and a relative humidi

5、ty of 80% minimum. 3.1.2 Capability of solar radiation simulation with a power of 1100 W/m. 3.2 Equipment. 3.2.1 General. 3.2.1.1 Temperature measuring and recording equipment for at least 16 measuring points. 3.2.1.2 Pressure measuring and recording equipment for at least three (3) measuring points

6、 in the refrigerant circuit. 3.2.1.3 Measuring and recording equipment for the engine speed. 3.2.1.4 Measuring and recording equipment for voltage and current for compartment blower(s), battery(ies), and engine cooling fans (if applicable). 3.2.1.5 Device for operation and adjustment of accelerator

7、pedal. 3.2.1.6 Battery Charger to maintain battery during warmup (see 4.2.2.1.1). 3.3 Test Vehicle/Test Piece. Passenger vehicles equipped with an A/C system. 3.4 Test Time. See 4.3.1 and 4.3.2. One (1) climatic tunnel operator, One (1) driver (if necessary). 4 Procedure 4.1 Preparation. The vehicle shall be prepared for the climatic tunnel per GMW15845 and shall be equipped w

10、ith devices according to 3.2 and 4.3.3. Front seat in rearmost position (manual and power actuation); seats shall be in no tilt full down position. If front seat has back rest tilt feature, place in the full upright position. 4.2 Conditions. 4.2.1 Environmental Conditions. 4.2.1.1 Ambient Temperatur

11、e. As described in the testing matrix. 4.2.2 Test Conditions. Deviations from the requirements of this standard shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be specified on component drawings, test certificates, reports, etc. 4.2.2.1 Vehicle Conditioning - Tunnel Cycle One (1). 4.2.2.1.1 War

16、ach the same soak results as obtained with natural sun load of 1 h at 1000 W/m (or as specified by the corresponding VTS) at test temperature. 4.2.2.2 Vehicle Conditioning - Tunnel Cycle Two (2). 4.2.2.2.1 Soak. It shall be ensured that the entire vehicle is at a uniform temperature (vehicle mass, e

17、.g., seat rail) which is in the range of 1 K of the ambient temperature prior to start of test. The engine oil temperature shall be in the range of 1 K of the ambient temperature. 4.2.2.2.2 Warmup Conditions. Vehicle and wind speeds as specified in the measurement program (see 4.3.1). 4.2.2.3 Idle C

18、onditions. The wind speed in front of the radiator shall be 0 km/h. 4.2.2.4 Electrical Power Supply. All electrical systems are supplied by the internal vehicle power supply. The battery shall be fully charged before the test. The blower speed (voltage) is defined by the corresponding VTS. 4.2.2.5 G

Note: If necessary the driver can stay in the vehicle (for speed adjustment and gear changing), but it

The targets are defined by the VTS. 5.3 Test Documentation. With reference to this test procedure the results

34、 of the measurements shall be presented in a test report. 6 Safety This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment. 35、ppropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. 7 Notes 7.1 Glossary. Air Outlet Vents: Air Outlet Vents is the average of the air outlet temperatures at the vent nozzles. The temperature sensors shall be installed per GMW15845. Breath L

36、evel: The breath level is the average value for each seat position for each seat row of the breath level temperatures in the vehicle. The temperature sensor(s) for each seat position shall be installed according to GMW15845. Note: The vent nozzles shall be adjusted per GMW15845. If rear window desig

37、n allows direct overhead sunload to impinge on thermocouples, shield thermocouples as necessary to avoid direct solar impingement. Footwell: Footwell is the average of a minimum of three temperatures in each footwell area. The temperature measurement points are located per GMW15845. Idle: Idle opera

38、tion after the warmup phase as specified by the test program. Soak: Allow vehicle to cool down with hood and side windows open. Test Temperature: Test Temperature is the climatic tunnel ambient temperature as defined per the VTS for the specific test condition. Warmup: The vehicle shall be warmed up
