2、e, has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description. CLASSIFICATION: This description covers the requirements for translucent envelopes used as a protector of postage stamps, in the following sizes: Size 1. 9 1/2“ x 1111 Size 2. 4 1/2“ x 11“ Size 3. 4“ x 711 I. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: A.
3、Construction: Envelopes shall be of side seam construction with overlapping flaps of either inside or outside design adhering to Figure 1 of this Commercial Item Description. There shall be an ungummed square flap on the long dimension. The seam adhesive shall be of such quantity and consistency as
4、to provide firmly bonded seams without curling the envelope. The sealed seams shall not adhere to the inside of the envelope. 9、ars, cuts, sharp creases, wrinkles, folds, and ink smears. The glassine envelopes shall be cleanly cut without nicks or ragged edges and shall be free from any other defects which may adversely affect their utility for the purpose intended, or their appearance.
