SCOPEThis specification describes a surfactant that forms a temporary liquid lubricantsolution that facilitates the assembly of tyres onto wheels. This material is to beused solely for tyre assembly lubrication

3、 that is carried out at the Holden VAP inElizabeth. For tyre assembly lubrication performed external* to Holden VAP,refer to Section 7 - Approved Suppliers and Materials.2. REFERENCESASTM D1882 HN 10003. REQUIREMENTS AND PERFORMANCE TESTSAll tests are to be conducted at ambient conditions unless oth

4、erwise specified.All tests are to be conducted on the lubricant solution at the suppliersrecommended dilution, 50% dilution with water respectively and on theconcentrate.3.1 SolubilityThe material must be water soluble.3.2 LubricationThe material must provide temporary lubrication of rubber componen

5、ts.This lubrication should become ineffective upon standing post application.3.3 StabilityThe lubricant solution or uncut material shall not separate / precipitatewhen stored in a clear glass container for 168 h in the following threeenvironments:3.3.1 In the refrigerator (nominally 4 oC),3.3.2 At n

REQUIREMENTS AND PERFORMANCE TESTS (continued)3.4 StainingThe material must not permanently damage or mark vehicle or wheelpaintwork when tested to the pro

8、cedure outlined in part 7 of ATSM D1882.This test should be carried out on freshly painted, production intent, testpanel and wheel.3.5 CorrosionThe lubricant solution or uncut material shall not cause any etching,pitting, permanent corrosion, or other defect on the surface of the wheel.3.5.1 Test Pr

9、ocedure:Use clean 25 x 75 mm strips of aluminium and alsorepresentative sections of the wheel. Each test piece shall beimmersed in a separate 100 ml test tube containing 25 ml of therespective lubricant solutions. The test tube should be lightlystoppered with a cork stopper, supported in a beaker, t

10、henplaced in the oven at 40 2 C for 168 h. The test pieces shallbe examined under magnification of 20x and shall evidence nomore corrosion than a control sample using water.3.6 Field Test3.6.1 The lubricant solution shall not foam when applied to the tyre orwheel by spraying, rolling transfer or han

11、d applicator.3.6.2 The lubricant solution shall uniformly coat the tyre bead area at aminimum film thickness exhibiting no fish eyes, dry spots orcraters.3.6.3 The lubricant solution shall not cause any slippage or rotation ofthe inflated tyre on the wheel after inflation.4.
