5、D-10 or Bonderite 958 zinc phosphated steel panels, 100 x 150 mm (4 x 6 inches), available from Advanced Coatings Technologies, 273 Industrial Drive, Hillsdale, Michigan 49242. OR Fiber glass reinforced plastic panels available from Materials Engineering, International Truck and Engine Corporation,

Box 1109, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46801-1109. 4.0 PROCEDURE 4.1 Prepare the appropriate quantity and type of panels for the grade of paint being tested according to the procedure specified in Test Method GT-13, Panel Preparation. For Grades -50, -52, -52HS, -53,-53A, and -56, proceed up to but not
7、 including the step in which the primed and dried panels are sanded. 4.1.1 Two steel panels - Grades -17, -17HS, -18, -19, -19HS, -29, -29HS, -29T, -29THS, -32, -32HS, -50, -54, -55, -55W, -61, -62, -81HS and -81W. 4.1.2 Four steel panels - Grades -53 and -53A 4.1.3 Two fiber glass reinforced plasti
8、c panels - Grade -52 or -52HS, or -52W For grades where four panels are prepared, two alternative drying procedures, an air dry and an oven dry, are specified. For these grades, two panels will be dried according to the air drying procedure and the remaining two panels will be dried according to the
9、 oven drying procedure. For grades where two panels are prepared, only one drying procedure is specified; for these grades, both panels will be dried according to this procedure. 4.1.4 For grades which are air dried or oven dried at temperatures below 93C (200F), age the prepared panels for an addit
10、ional 24 hours in air at 21 to 27C (70 to 80F) before testing. For the other grades, testing will be done immediately upon completion of the panel preparation procedure. 4.1.5 Using the appropriate glossmeter angle for the reading required (20 or 60 degrees), determine the initial gloss reading of e

14、 grades requiring a 60 degree reading. For those grades requiring a 20 degree glossmeter reading, again report the minimum 20 degree glossmeter reading obtained from all the panels tested. For those grades where both a 60 degree and a 20 degree requirement are listed, report both minimums.
