5、ence: File 40-11 Keywords: Arc Welding, Aluminum 1.0 APPLICATION This specification covers the arc welding of structural members which are made from wrought or cast aluminum or aluminum alloy components. The aluminum alloy can be either a nonheat-treatable (e.g., 5052) or heat-treatable (e.g., 6061)

6、 grade. The specification covers two levels of quality: Class A Welded joints with specific engineering requirements for stress, function, or reliability. It shall be designated on the engineering drawing using a note or a suitable symbol. Class B Welded joints which have non-critical requirements f

It shall apply to all welds not designated as Class A. 1.1 Restricted Chemical Substances Effective January 1, 2007, all product supplied to the requirements of this specification must comply with the requirements of the CEMS B-50 specification. 2.0 SCOPE This we

8、ld specification pertains to fillet welds in tee or lap joints, bevel or flare-vee groove welds, square groove welds, and plug or slot welds. The welds shall be made using a gas-metal arc process with a suitable shielding gas such as argon, helium or a mixture of the two gases (MIG: Gas Metal-Arc or

Hooked welds shall be a portion of a continuo
