ITU-T G.8031/Y.1342 (2011)/Amd.1 (08/2013) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications, information and communication technologies (ICTs). The ITU Telecom
10、munication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Ass
11、embly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology wh
12、ich fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with
13、this Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure, e.g., interoperability or applicability) and compliance with the Recommendation is achieved when all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory la
14、nguage such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation is required of any party. 18、 protection switching Amendment 1 Clarifications to APS format 1) Scope This amendment clarifies clause 11.1 (APS format). 2) Text modifications to Recommendation ITU-T G.8031/Y.1342 The following clauses contain modifications to be made to ITU-T G.8031/Y.1342. 2.1) Modifications to clause 11.1, APS
19、 format Change the first paragraph of clause 11.1 as follows: APS information is carried within the APS PDU which is one of a suite of Ethernet OAM PDUsmessages. OAM PDU formats for each type of Ethernet OAM operation are defined in ITU-T Y.1731. APS-specific information is transmitted by a MEP with
20、in specific fields in the APS PDU. The APS messages use the Multicast Class 1 DA. The APS PDU is identified by a specific Ethernet OAM OpCode. In this version of the Recommendation, 4 octets in the APS PDU are used to carry APS-specific information. This is illustrated in Figure 11-1. In addition, i
21、t should be noted that for the current version of this Recommendation, the TLV Offset field is required to be set to 0x04. Change the second paragraph of clause 11.1 as follows: The Version field shall be set to 0x00. For other fields such as Version, OpCode, Flags and END TLV, the following values
