It includes both 1544 and 2048 kbit/s interfaces at the T, and S, reference points of the B-ISDN User-Network Interface (UNI). These Physical Layer characteristics may be used to take advantage of existing trans

This Recommendation is part of the 1.432-series, and includes references to Recommendation 1.432.1 on general characteristics, and Recommendation 1.432.2 on OAM aspects. 11、alized Agency in the field of telecommunications. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of the ITU. The ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunicati

12、ons on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T Study Groups which, in their turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of Recommendations by the Members of the ITU-T

13、 is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution No. 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. 23、ers. 2 Background This Recommendation is part of the 1.432-series, and contains those characteristics that are specific to transmission systems operating at 1544 kbit/s and 2048 kbit/s. It should be used in conjunction with Recommendation 1.432.1 on general characteristics which treats material rele

24、vant to all B-ISDN transmission systems at the UNI. These Physical Layer characteristics may be used to take advantage of existing transmission equipment and building wiring. Information on other bit rates can be found in other Recommendations of the 1.432-series. 3 References The following ITU-T Re
