CCITT is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and is
3、suing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwidc basis. The Plenary Assembly of CCITT which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study and approves Recommendations prepared by its Study Groups. The approval of Recommendations by the members o
4、f CCITT between Plenary Assemblies is covered by the procedure laid down in CCITT Resolution No. 2 (Melbourne, 1988). Recommendation M. i 520 was prepared by Study Group IV and was approved under the Resolution No. 2 procedure on the 5th of October 1992. CCIT NOTE In this Recommendation, the express

7、ning a technique to be used for this purpose. This Recommendation should be applied to all infomation exchanged in the pre-TMN environment in order to adapt it to a structure applicable to the TMN. 8、 1 Purpose The purpose of this Recommendation is to provide principles for a standardized exchange between Administrations of ail network and service related information specified in CCITT Recommendations. This Recommendation should be applied to all information exchanged in the pre-TMN environment
9、to ensure a systematic treatment of this information in order to prepare it for a smooth transition to a standardized information exchange through TMN. Therefore all Administrations are strongly advised to follow this Recommendation. 2 General The efficient and cost-effective implementation and oper
10、ation of international networks and services require close cooperation between Administrations to share and exchange service and network-related data during network and service designlexpansion, provisioning and operations. This will become even more important with the introduction of new sophistica
11、ted international services and increased customer demands for efficient service support. The ability of Administrations to meet these customer needs relies heavily on their ability to exchange, in a timely manner, OAM - network provisioning; - supervision and control; - re-routing; - performance ass
12、essment. Aspect examples are - configuration; - status; - measurements; - schedules; - directory. Each possible combination between macroactions identifies a unique set of services and subservices. The pair is a second level of discrimination and focuses on the data types that the Administration has
13、 to exchange. The purpose of this technique is to exchange between Adminisirations defin
16、e a particular template called “Information exchange” used for data according to Table 1 /M. 1520. The template is an information structure that correlates the telecommunication macroactions, the information to be exchanged and the media to be used. Table 2.M.1520 shows an example that correlates th

Identity 4.1 Information included in the “Identity section Aspect Service The “Identity section” identifies a particular application requiring information data exchange, and is characterized by the identity name of the template instance and the associated

20、uirements section” specifies information exchange requirements and consists of: - Interval The time interval requirement definition on , (possible choices are real-time periodic, on-demand, spontaneous, etc.). - Contact The subset of general information such as type of media (mail, telephone, fax, t
