M.724CIRCUIT SUB-CONTROL STATION1 Definition of circuit sub-control stationThe circuit sub-control station is a point within the general maintenance orga
5、nization for the internationalautomatic and semi-automatic telephone service that assists the circuit control station and fulfils the controlresponsibilities for a circuit section assigned to it.The responsibilities, functions and criteria for appointing circuit sub-control stations given in 2 to 4
6、belowapply to circuits provided solely by analogue transmission and switching systems and those involving a mixture ofanalogue and digital systems.2 ResponsibilitiesIt is the responsibility of the circuit sub-control station to inform the circuit control station about all notedevents likely to affec
7、t the circuit under their control. If the circuit sections are assigned to the circuit sub-control for thepurpose of controlling them, the circuit sub-control is responsible for these circuit sections in the same way as the circuitcontrol station is for the complete circuit.3 Functions3.1 Performing
8、 the control functions for circuit sections, especially national sections, as given for the circuitcontrol station.3.2 Cooperating with the circuit control station and other circuit sub-control stations in ensuring that routinemaintenance fault location and clearance are carried out by the responsib
9、le testing points and/or maintenance units in aproper manner.3.3 Arranging that all relevant details concerning the location and subsequent clearance of faults are reported tothe fault report point (circuit) at the controlling end.4 Appointment of circuit sub-control stationsFor each circuit used fo
10、r the automatic and semi-automatic telephone service a terminal circuit sub-controlstation is appointed. This is generally the end of the circuit remote from the circuit control station. In transit countries inwhich a circuit is brought to audio frequencies, an intermediate circuit sub-control stati
11、on is appointed at a suitable pointfor each direction of transmission. It is left to the Administration concerned to choose: where this point shall be, whether the sub-control functions for the two directions of transmission are vested in one station or twostations, whether, as may be desirable in the case of a large country, each direction of transmission has more thanone circuit sub-control station per transit country.The technical service of the Administration concerned indicates its choice to the technical service of theAdministration responsible for the control station.
