6、commendation Q.1741.2 IMT-2000 references to release 4 of GSM evolved UMTS core network with UTRAN access network Summary This Recommendation identifies a release of the IMT-2000 family member, “GSM evolved UMTS Core Network with UTRAN Access Network“. This release of the family member is known to t

7、he Standards Development Organizations (i.e., ARIB, CWTS, ETSI, T1, TTA, TTC) as the “3GPP Release 4“. An earlier release, known as “3GPP Release 99“, of this family member is specified in ITU-T Rec. Q.1741.1, while other IMT-2000 family members are specified in other Recommendations in the Q.174x s

8、eries. This Recommendation combines and associates the relevant standards from a number of Standards Development Organizations for the core network for this IMT-2000 family member into a global Recommendation. Source ITU-T Recommendation Q.1741.2 was prepared by ITU-T Study Group SSG (2001-2004) and

9、 approved under the WTSA Resolution 1 procedure on 29 December 2002. This Recommendation uses parts of ETSI, TTC, T1, TTA, ARIB and CWTS standards with their kind permission. 10、 International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Reco

11、mmendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The

12、 approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Admini

13、stration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. 35、 network 1 Scope This Recommendation identifies the IMT-2000 family member, “GSM evolved UMTS core network with UTRAN access network“. This release of the family member is known to the Standards Development Organizations (i.e., ARIB, CWTS, ETSI, T1, TTA, TTC) as the “3GPP Release 4“. The Core Networ

36、k interfaces identified in this Recommendation and the radio interfaces and radio access interfaces identified in ITU-R Rec. M.1457 1 constitute a complete system specification for the 3rd generation mobile system for terrestrial usage of this IMT-2000 family member. It is the intent of the ITU-T th

37、at the references in this Recommendation are only to specifications that specify the network aspects of this IMT-2000 family member. In the event that a referenced specification also includes material that specifies any of the radio aspects of this IMT-2000 family member, ITU-R Rec. M.1457 1, shall
