The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. IT

10、U-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuhg Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for stu

11、dy by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a

12、collaborative basis with IS0 and iEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. 18、gnalling Transport Service. It allows the definition of signalling specifications without considerations of the idiosyncrasies of the underlying signalling transport mechanisms. This Recommendation also describes the interface states and the definition of the service by a number of primitives. The G

19、eneric Signalling Transport Service can be deployed by means of Signalling Transport Converters over a range of signalling transport protocol stacks. 34、e General framework A signalling protocol entity makes use of the Generic Signalling Transport service which is provided by the Signalling Transport Converter (for example, see ITU-T 4.2150.1 6, ITU-T 4.2150.2 7, or ITU-T 4.2150.3 SI). The Generic Signalling Transport enables a signalling entity to

35、communicate with a peer signalling entity independently of the underlying signalling transports. This Mework is illustrated in Figure 5-1. 42、is clause defines the constraints on the sequences in which the primitives may occur at the layer boundaries of the Generic Signalling Transport service. The sequences are related to the states at one Generic Signalling Transport endpoint between the Generic Signalling Transport service provider and
