7、DN User Part (B-ISUP) - Basic call procedures Summary This ITU-T Recommendation is one of a set of Recommendations that describe the Broadband ISDN User Part for Broadband Signalling Capability Set 1 and beyond. This ITU-T Recommendation describes the procedures relating to: a Basic call setup and c

8、lear down; Maintenance facilities. Source ITU-T Recommendation 4.2764 was revised by ITU-T Study Group 11 (1997-2000) and approved under the WTSC Resolution 1 procedure on 3 December 1999. FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field

9、of telecommunications. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World

10、 Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution 1. In

11、 some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recog

12、nized operating agency. 48、ribes the basic B-ISDN User Part signalling procedures for the setup and cleardown of national and intemational B-ISDN Capability Set 1 network connections, and beyond. The actions to be taken at six exchange types are described: e originating exchange; e intermediate national exchange; e outgoing i

49、nternational exchange; e intermediate international exchange; e destination exchange; e incoming international exchange. Actions common for all exchange types are described only once. Different, or additional, actions required in specific exchange types are described in separate subclauses applicable to this type of exchange.
