7、nical SpecificationsSummaryThis Supplement is an “information“ document and is intended as a roadmap and a source ofreferences for documents related to IMT-2000 specifications from ITU-T as well as from sourcesoutside the ITU (e.g. 3GPPs and SDOs.) The list of documents contained in this Supplement

8、shouldtherefore be treated as “bibliographic“ references. The scope includes any relevant standards that aretargeted toward the specification of IMT-2000 systems.NOTE This version of this Supplement (Issue 2) includes information up to November, 2000 whereas theprevious version (Issue 1) included in

9、formation up to February, 2000. Clause 7 has been substantiallyextended and Clauses 8 and 9 have been revised and updated. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ ofITU. ITU-T is

11、responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendationson them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis.The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years,establishes the topics for study by the

12、 ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on thesetopics.The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1.In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards areprepared on a collaborative
