The TU Telecommunication Standardization Secto

3、r (IT-T) is a permanent organ of the ITU. Some 179 member countries, 84 telecom operating entities, 145 scientific and industrial organizations and 3 8 international organizations participate in ITU-T which is the body which sets world telecommunications standards (Recommendations). The approval of

4、Recommendations by the Members of ITU-T is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution No. 1 (Helsinki, 1993). In addition, the World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, approves Recommendations submitted to it and establishes the study progra

5、mme for the following period. In some areas of information technology which fall within IT-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. The text of IT-T Recommendation T.82 was approved by the WTSC (Helsinki, March 1-12, 1993). Technical Corrigendum 1 w

6、as approved on 23 March1995. The identical text is also published as ISO/IEC International Standard 1 1544. NOTES 1 As a consequence of a reform process within the International Telecommunication Union (ITLJ), the CCITT ceased to exist as of 28 February 1993. In its place, the ITU Telecommunication

7、Standardization Sector (ITU-T) was created as of 1 March 1993. Similarly, in this reform process. the CCIR and the IFRI3 have been replaced by the Radiocommunication Sector. In order not to delay publication of this Recommendation, no change has been made in the text to references containing the acr

8、onyms “CCITT, CCIR or IFRJ3” or their associated entities such as Plenary Assembly, Secretariat, etc. Future editions of this Recommendation will contain the proper terminology related to the new TU structure. 2 telecommunication administration and a recognized private operating agency. I, add the following sentence to the end of the first paragraph: “NOTE - Applications may wish to precede and follow a BIE with a unique two byte combination (marker segment) so that the BIEs can be detected withi

13、n other data streams. It is suggested to use OxFFA8 for the starting marker and OxFFA9 for the ending marker. These markers are not considered to be the part of the BIE.” Replace “NOTES” in 6.2.6.2 with “NOTE -”. Delete the “I” ahead of this remaining “NOTE”. Delete the parenthetical reference to NO
