Source Corrigendum 1 to ITU-T Recommendation V. 59 was prepared by ITU-T Study Group 16 (2001-2004) and approved under the WTSA Resolution 1 procedure on 29 July 2001. ii ITU-T V.59/Cor.1 (07/2001) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specia

6、lized agency in the field of telecommunications. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a

7、worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down

8、in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication ad

9、ministration and a recognized operating agency. 13、tion that V.59 uses X.691 PER Although it is implied by the inclusion of the reference to ITU-T X.691, V.59 does not explicitly indicate which Packet Encoding Rules should be used. A clarification is essential since it defines how to encode the various data types. The following sentence is to be add

14、ed to the end of the final paragraph of clause 5 just prior to 5.1. The ASN.1 as defined in Annex A should be used in conjunction with the object definitions t

24、bjects would not be a list, but rather the indicator of the modulation employed by the transmitter and receiver at the end of the connection. The following text needs to replace that used for the descriptions of the txCarrier and rxCarrier objects (Tag-IDs 2C01 and 2C02) in 6.9 (Connection Diagnosti
