9、rk layer managed objects, the relationship of the managed objects and attributes to both operation of the layer and to other objects and attributes of the layer, and the allowable actions on the attributes of Network layer managed objects. X.283 (1997 E) 1 FOREWORD ITU (International Telecommunication Union) is the United Nations Specialized Agency in the field of telecommuni- cations. The IT Telecommunication Standardization S

11、ector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of the ITU. The IT-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which

12、 meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T Study Groups which, in their turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of Recommendations by the Members of the ITU-T is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution No. 1. In some areas of information

13、technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. INT

38、ATION INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - ELEMENTS OF MANAGEMENT INFORMATION RELATED TO THE OS1 NETWORK LAYER 1 Scope This Recommendation I International Standard provides the specification of management information within an Open System related to those operations of the OS1 Network Layer. Specifics on how Ne

39、twork layer management is accomplished is beyond the scope of this Recommendation I International Standard. Network Layer management information is defined by specifiing: the managed object class definition of Network Layer Managed Objects following guidelines put forth by the Structure of Managemen

40、t Information (see Recommendations X.720-X.724 and ISO/IEC 1 O 165); the relationship of the Managed Objects and attributes to both the operation of the layer and to other objects and attributes of the layer; and the action type operations on the attributes of Network Layer Managed Objects that are

41、available to OS1 Systems Management.
