8、y This ITU-T Rec. X.404 I ISO/IEC TR10021-11 provides guidance for configuring MTS routing using the directory, and suggests the characteristics of a directory user agent for managing that process. It allows OR-address plans, MTA interconnection topology and the management structures applied to MHS

9、to be dealt with independently of each other whilst remaining within a coordinated framework. Source The ITU-T Recommendation X.404 was approved on the 18th of June 1999. 10、onal Telecommunication Union) is the United Nations Specialized Agency in the field of telecommuni- cations. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of the ITU. The ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommend

11、ations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the -T Study Groups which, in their turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The

12、 approval of Recommendations by the Members of the ITU-T is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution No. 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendati

13、on, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. 39、cts of an MHS system may configure information into the directory for MTAs to use to determine the routing of messages. IT-T Rec. X.412 I ISOIIEC 10021-10 provides a set of directory structures that may be configured in many different ways to support a particular MHS routing strategy. In order to il

40、lustrate the use of these directory structures, this document contains advice on how an MHS Administrator might organize the configuration of directory trees and entries in the directory. In particular, it contains suggestions on the following: The types, construction and location of different OR-ad

41、dress subtrees that may be needed; The location of routing collective and MTA entries in the directory. - - Other ways of using the routing capabilities specified in ITU-T Rec. X.412 I ISO/iEC 10021-10 are also valid. Other Recommendations I International Standards define other aspects of the MHS. I
