2、 AND ATTRIBUTES ITU-T Recommendation X.739 (Previously “CCITT Recommendation”) Foreword IT (International Telecommunication Union) is the United Nations Specialized Agency in the field of telecommunications. The IT Telecommunication Standardization Sector (IT-T) is a permanent organ of the ITU. Some

3、 179 member countries, 84 telecom operating entities, 145 scientific and industrial organizations and 38 international organizations participate in ITU-T which is the body which sets world telecommunications standards (Recommendations). The approval of Recommendations by the Members of ITU-T is cove

4、red by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution No. 1 (Helsinki, 1993). In addition, the World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, approves Recommendations submitted to it and establishes the study programme for the following period. In some areas of

5、information technology which fill within IT-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. The text of IT-T Recommendation X.739 was approved on 16th November 1993. The identical text is also published as ISO/IEC International Standard 10164-11. NOTE In t

14、ce tools to observe characteristics of resources either directly within managed objects or through the use of metric objects. 16、ibutes function. The metric objects and attributes function is a systems management function which may be used by an application process in a centralised or decentralised management environment to interact for the purpose of systems management, as defined by CCITI: Rec. X.700 I ISOAEC 7498-4. This R

17、ecommendation I International Standard defines a function which consists of generic definitions. This function is positioned in the application layer of the OS1 reference model, CCITT Rec. X.200 I IS0 ?498, and is defined according to the model provided by IS0 9545. The role of systems management fu

18、nctions is described by CCITT Rec. X.701 I ISOAEC 10040. This Recommendation I International Standard - - - identifies the set of requirements satisfied by the function; provides a model for the behaviour of general metric objects: provides a model for the behaviour of the metric objects defined in

19、this Recommendation I International Standard; specifies the management requirements of the function and how these are realised by specification of managed objects and their behaviour; specifies the abstract syntax of the parameters of the MAPDUs that will be used to refer to managed objects and thei

20、r attributes; and - - - defines managed objects. This Recommendation I International Standard - - does not define the nature of any implementation of this Recommendation I International Standard; does not specify the manner in which management is to be accomplished by the user of this Recommendation

21、 I International Standard; does not define the nature of any interactions which result in the use of this Recommendation I International Standard; does not specify the services necessary for the establishment, normal and abnormal release of a management association; does not define the interactions

43、ources granularity period: The time between the initiation of two successive scans. 3.7.3 metric: A value calculated from observed attribute values. 3.7.4 metric algorithms or whose value represents the output of such an algorithm. 3.7.5 results. metric attribute: An attribute of a metric object who

44、se value is either used as a parameter of one or more metric algorithm: The behaviour of a metric object which models a formalized process to calculate specified 3.7.6 attributes observed in managed objects. 3.7.7 observed attribute: An attribute of a managed object whose value is being scanned by a

45、 metric object or summarization object. metric object: A managed object that contains at least one attribute whose value is calculated from values of 3.7.8 3.7.9 3.7.10 is synchronized. 3.7.11 measured rate approaches the instantaneous rate as the specified interval of time approaches zero. 3.7.12 b

48、tributes. percentile: The K-percentile of a probability distribution is the U100 fractile of the distribution. period synchronization time: The time to which the start of a repeating time period (e.g. granularity period) rate: The change in a value over a specified interval of time. NOTE - Instantan

49、eous rate is the derivative of the value with respect to time and cannot generally be measured.
