7、ribes the reference architecture for the control plane of the Automatically Switched Optical Network as applicable to SDH transport networks, as defined in ITU-T Rec. G.803 and Optical Transport Networks, as defined in ITU-T Rec. G.872. This reference architecture is described in terms of the key fu

8、nctional components and the interactions between them. 9、) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standard

10、izing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is cover

11、ed by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indica

12、te both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with this Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure e.g. interoperability or applicability) and compliance with the Recommendation is achieved w

13、hen all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory language such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. 24、304 Architecture for the automatically switched optical network (ASON) 1 Scope This Recommendation specifies the architecture and requirements for the automatic switched transport network as applicable to SDH transport networks, as defined in ITU-T Rec. G.803, and Optical Transport Networks, as defi

25、ned in ITU-T Rec. G.872. This Recommendation describes the set of control plane components that are used to manipulate transport network resources in order to provide the functionality of setting up, maintaining and releasing connections. The use of components allows for the separation of call contr

26、ol from connection control and the separation of routing and signalling. For the purposes of this Recommendation, components are used to represent abstract entities rather than instances of implementable software. UML-like notation is used to describe components of the architecture of the Automatica
