The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent org

13、an of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the

14、topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are

29、this amendment are shown in revision marks relative to Recommendation ITU-T G.8031/Y.1342 (2015). 1 Scope This Recommendation defines the automatic protection switching (APS) protocol and linear protection switching mechanisms for point-to-point VLAN-based ETH subnetwork connection (SNC) in Ethernet

30、 transport networks. All other protection schemes including point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint are for further study. Linear 1+1 and 1:1 protection switching architectures with unidirectional and bidirectional switching are defined in this version of the Recommendation. The APS protoco
