12、committee on Voltage Regulators and Signal Diodes. 1 1.0 INTRODUCTION In the manufacture and application of diodes it is desirable to standardize the nominal values when specifying breakdown voltage for voltage regulator diodes, capacitance for variable capacitor diodes, and peak point current for t
13、unnel diodes. 2.0 SCOPE 2.1 Preferred breakdown voltage values for voltage regulator diodes. 2.2 Preferred values of capacitance for variable capacitor diodes. 2.3. Preferred values of peak point current for tunnel diodes . 3.0 DISCUSSION 3.1 The list shown on page 2 contains preferred nominal value
14、s along with tolerance limits at 5, 10 and 20%. These values should be used as follows: (a) In specification of voltage regulator diode breakdown voltages. (b) As values of capacitance for variable capacitor d i odes. (c) AS values of peak point current for tunnel diodes. 3.2 It should be noted that
15、 the tolerance limits are not in all cases at exactly the 5, 10 or 20% values. These limits have been rounded to avoid gaps in the list of values; as well as to provide for some overlap These values are all considered to be multiplied by 10 where n is a positive or negative integer. Thus, the series
16、 is applicable over all decades. 20、mum and maximum of each nominal listed for 5%, 10%, and 20% tolerances. All nominals listed for 5% are retained for the 108 and 20% in RC-482-A, whereas IEC #63 deletes select nominals as the tolerances are expanded. It should be noted that the approximated 5% tolerances listed in RS-482-A were copied from existing pro-electron registrations of zener diodes.
