12、 This standard practice prescribes the material characteristics, application methods, and handling, shipping, and installation procedures for polyolefin resin coating systems extruded over soft adhesives for the prevention of external corrosion of underground or submerged pipelines. This standard is

13、 intended for use by coating applicators, engineers, and pipeline owners as a guide to qualifying coating materials and specifying application parameters. This standard was originally prepared in 1985 by NACE International Task Group (TG) T-10D-12, a component of Unit Committee T-10D on Protective C

14、oating Systems, and was revised in 1996 by Task Group T-10D-16. This standard was revised in 2007 by TG 265. This TG is administered by Specific Technology Group (STG) 03 on Protective Coatings and LiningsImmersion and Buried Service. It is also sponsored by STG 04 on Protective Coatings and Linings

15、Surface Preparation, STG 05 on Cathodic/Anodic Protection, and STG 35 on Pipelines, Tanks, and Well Casings. The standard is issued by NACE International under the auspices of STG 03. In NACE standards, the terms shall, must, should, and may are used in accordance with the definitions of these terms
