4、maximumLiftexcept for flap deflections between 20 upward andthe neutraI position.PRECISIONThe precision of the data obtained from force testsin the N. A. C. k -rariabledensity tunnel is discussedin considerable deted in references 3 and 4. It isbelieved that the results may be applied with noumaleng
5、ineering accuracy to free-flight conditions at thestated values of the effective Reynolds Number. Itshould be noted, however, that the data presentedherein for the increments of mazimum lift due to theflap are somewhat lower than those obtained in someother wind tunneIs (references 5 and 6).
