Although this may be a simplified understanding of the importance of Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis, it at least seems to have vital implications in translation theory.(3 points)The Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis is currently pretty contested, because we cant figure out the relationship between

40、 thought and language. Personally, I think thats because we use human language to represent the very real world around us, and theres always a mismatch between a model they are the real things. It applies to computers and their languages, if we think of the computers “thoughts“ as its interpretation
