4、used to reduce friction in rotating or sliding joints. They are generally restrained or contained in a closed space by seals. 2.1 Restricted Chemical SubstancesEffective January 1, 2007, all product supplied to the requirements of this specification must comply with the requirements of the CEMS-B-50

C. 20407. 8.1 Work StabilityWork stability will be performed per ASTM D 1831 with the following modifications: 8.1.1 Sample size 150 grams 8.1.2 Test temperature will be maintained at 65 1C 8.1.3 Tester speed will be 10 1 RPM. 8.1.4 The rolling period will be 100 hours. 8.1.5 At the

13、 end of the rolling period, turn off the heat, open the cover and allow to roll an additional hour without heat. 8.1.6 Penetration will be determined per ASTM D 1403 using a one-quarters scale cone. 9.0 SOURCE APPROVAL AND QUALITY CONTROL9.1 Supplier Requirements All suppliers to International Truck

14、 and Engine are required to be registered to ISO 9001 Quality System Requirements. International will also accept TS-16949 registration as long as the supplier can also fulfill all AIAG PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and approval requirements. Suppliers must maintain their cer

15、tification with an accredited registrar and must furnish copies of registration certificates to their International Corporate Buyer upon request. 9.2 ApprovalParts supplied against contracts or purchase orders citing this specification shall be equivalent in all respects to those samples which were

16、approved by the purchaser. No changes in formulation or processing practices are permitted without approval. In the event that changes in material, properties, processing practices, construction, color, or labeling of the product are required, the supplier shall notify Materials Engineering, Interna

17、tional Truck Development and Technology Center and Purchasing and Supplier Development of the proposed change(s). Test data indicating conformance to all requirements of this specification, test samples, and new or amended or updated Material Safety Data Sheet(s) (MSDS), in accordance with CFR Title

The supplier shall either perform and report results of tests on specific lots of parts produced using ISO 9001 or TS-16949 guidelines, or provide statistic

20、al evidence of the lot having been produced in a state of statistical control and with a process capable of providing all required properties. The part supplier and the plant metallurgist and/or the quality control manager of the using International plant may determine testing and reporting requirem

21、ents on specific products. 10.0 DESIGNATION ON DRAWINGS AND PURCHASE ORDERSLubricating Grease, Grade 251 HEP, CEMS B-27. 11.0 PACKAGING AND SHIPPING Packaging and identification will be in accordance with Manufacturing Standard D-13. 11.1 Bulk PackagingWhen delivered in bulk quantities, the material

22、 will be shipped in containers clearly marked with the following information: International designation, name of supplier, formula number or code, batch number and the date of manufacture. These markings will be at least 25 mm high. 11.2 Retail PackagingWhen packaged for retail sale, the material wi

23、ll be supplied in containers which have been approved by the Parts Marketing Division and identification information and markings will also be in accordance with requirements set forth by the Parts Marketing Division of the International Parts Marketing Operation at Cantera in Warrenville, Illinois.

A.1.1 Grade 0051H EP M

30、ultipurpose NLGI No. 00 Grade grease with extreme pressure properties suitable for use in wheel ends. A.1.2 Grade 051H EP Multipurpose NLGI No. 0 Grade grease with extreme pressure properties suitable for use in gear boxes. A.1.3 Grade 151H EP Multipurpose NLGI No. 1 Grade grease with extreme pressu

31、re properties suitable for uses as listed under Grade 251H EP where a softer consistency grease is desired. A.1.4 Grade 251H EP Multipurpose NLGI No. 2 Grade grease upgraded to GC/LB requirement. It has a smooth texture and extreme pressure properties: suitable for antifriction bearings (ball and ro

32、ller types), wheel bearings, chassis lubricant, universal joints and where rust protection, extended service life and water resistance is desired. A.1.5 Grade 251H EP-M This grease is identical to 251H EP except it contains MoS2 .
