It shall be used on arm rests and similar applications. 2.0 SCOPE This specification covers the general requirements, property and performance requirements, quality, control frequency, source approval and quality control, and packaging. 3.0 R

10、h, and gloss shall match approved master samples in the TDTC Industrial Design Department. 4.4 Property And Performance Requirements 4.4.1 Urethane Foam 4.4.1.1 Density 98 kg/m (6 lb/ft) minimum 4.4.1.2 Volume Loss After exposure for seven days in a recirculating hot air oven at 69-71C (156-160F), t
11、he foam shall exhibit a 1% volume loss maximum. 4.4.1.3 Compression Set Expose for seven days in a recirculating hot air oven at 69-71C (156-160F). Compress to 50% constant deflection at 69-71C (156-160F) for 22 hours. Allow to recover at room temperature for 1/2 hour. Foam shall exhibit 25% compres

CS #10 abrasion wheels, 500 gram load, 250 cycles, wear pattern and color shall be equivalent in appearance with approved master samples in TDTC. 4.4.2.6 Volatile Loss A specimen 2.5 cm x 7.6 cm (1 in x 3 in) suspended in a recirculating hot air oven at 85-91C
14、 (185-195F) for 70 hours shall exhibit a 4% maximum volatile loss. 4.4.2.7 Spewing Specimens from Volatile Loss test wiped with clean, dry, white cloth shall exhibit no evidence of spewing. 4.4.2.8 Low Temperature Resistance A specimen 2.5 cm x 7.6 cm (1 in x 3 in) bent around a 6.4 mm (1/4 in) diam
15、eter mandrel and exposed at -20C (-29F) for four hours in low temperature cabinet shall exhibit no cracks. AUGUST 2001 Page 3 of 4 4.4.2.9 Fade Resistance After exposure to RS sunlamp at a distance of 30 cm (12 in) for 100 hours, skin material shall not sho
17、w a color change, change in hue, change in gloss or stain in accordance with a rating of 5 from the AATCC chart for measuring transference of color. 4.4.3 Finished Assembly 4.4.3.1 Adhesion The bond strength between the foam and skin shall exceed the cohesion strength of the foam. 4.4.3.2 Indentatio
18、n Load Deflection The ILD requirement, indenter foot size, and the surface subject to test shall be stated on the applicable drawing. The test shall be performed at room temperature, and ILD values shall be determined at the end of a one minute dwell time. 4.4.3.3 Aged Indentation Load Change After
19、original indentation load evaluation, age in oven for seven days at 69-71C (156-160F). Cool to room temperature and test in designated area. There shall be a 20% maximum indentation load change from original. 4.4.3.4 Humid Aged Indentation Load Loss After original indentation load evaluation, deflec
20、t 25% in the designated area and subject to saturated steam at 103 kPa (15 psig) for five hours. Remove from steam and oven dry for three hours at 69-71C (156-160F). Allow part to return to room temperature and measure indentation load deflection. Part shall exhibit a 30% maximum indentation load ch
21、ange from original. 4.4.3.5 Flammability Material and parts must conform to and be certified by the supplier to meet the requirements of the latest issue of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 302 - Flammability of Interior Materials, and all requirements of TMS-9544. 5.0 QUALITY The finis
22、hed part shall be free from offensive odor. Residual parting agent on the surface of the finished part shall in no way contribute to contamination, fading, or discoloration of the plastisol skin surface. 5.1 Quality Control Frequency Suppliers shall perform the production quality control program in
23、accordance with Table 1. Records shall be maintained describing production reliability and finished part quality and uniformity. 6.0 SOURCE APPROVAL AND QUALITY CONTROL 6.1 Supplier Requirements Suppliers must conform to the requirements of the INTERNATIONAL IQR Quality Standard which includes confo
24、rmance to the QS-9000 (ISO 9001) Quality System Standard. A mutually acceptable Quality Control Plan as described therein is required for source approval to the requirements of this specification. 26、contracts or purchase orders citing this specification shall be equivalent in all respects to those samples, which were approved by the purchaser. No changes in formulation or processing practices are permitted without approval. In the event that changes in material, properties, processing practices
27、, construction, color, or labeling of the product are required, the supplier shall notify Materials Engineering at TDTC and International Purchasing and Supplier Development of the proposed change(s). Test data indicating conformance to all requirements of this specification, test samples, and new o
28、r amended or updated Material Safety Data Sheet(s) (MSDS), in accordance with CFR Title 29, Part 1910 shall be submitted with the request for change. 6.3 Process Control The supplier shall either perform and report results of tests on specific lots of parts produced or provide statistical evidence o
29、f the lot having been produced in a state of statistical control and with a process capable of providing all required properties. The part supplier and the plant metallurgist and/or the quality control manager of the using International plant may determine testing and reporting requirements on speci
30、fic products. 7.0 SHIPPING, PACKING AND IDENTIFICATION Parts shall be packaged in suitable containers to afford protection against damage during shipment and storage, and shall meet applicable requirements of Manufacturing Standard D-13.
