The surface of the foam
5、is coated with a spray applied elastomeric coating which seals the foam from water, dust, etc., and the finished part may be bonded in place. 2.0 SCOPE This specification covers the general requirements, property and performance requirements, and source approval and quality control. 3.0 REFERENCE DO
6、CUMENTS Unless otherwise specified, the latest issue of all referenced standards shall apply. The following standards, specifications and regulations are referenced in this specification. 7、NAL Manufacturing Standard D-13 ASTM D 2247 CFR Title 29, Part 1910 ASTM D 1149 4.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 4.1 Polyurethane Foam: The material shall have a homogeneous cell structure and be free of defects and voids which may have a deleterious effect on performance. Unless otherwise specified on the
8、engineering drawing, color shall be black. 4.2 Elastomer Coating: Unless otherwise specified on the engineering drawing, the coating color shall be black. The coating shall be uniformly applied, with the exception of bonding surfaces shown on the engineering drawing, and shall not be tacky on the fi
9、nished part. Bonding surfaces must be clearly identified on the engineering drawing and must be free of coating. 4.3 Property And Performance Requirements All tests shall be performed in accordance with procedures described in ASTM D3574 unless otherwise specified. 14、king 4.3.2.1.1 Method - ASTM D1146 Place coated sample of foam surface against a steel panel which has been painted as per TMS-9009, Class II and age in a dry air circulating oven at 100C (210F) for 24 hours. Remove sample from oven and cool to room temperature. 4.3.2.1.2 Required First Degree Block
15、ing or Free 4.3.2.2 Humidity 4.3.2.2.1 Method - ASTM D2247 Expose sample to 168 hours of condensing humidity (100% R.H.) at 38C (100F). 4.3.2.2.2 Required There shall be no softening, cracking, or loss of adhesion. 4.3.2.3 Ozone 4.3.2.3.1 Method - ASTM D1149 Expose a looped sample (specimen B) for 7
16、0 hours at 40C (105F) and at 50 pphm ozone. 4.3.2.3.2 Required No visible cracking when observed at 7X magnification. 18、erformance. 6.0 SOURCE APPROVAL AND QUALITY CONTROL 6.1 Supplier Requirements Suppliers must conform to the requirements of the International IQR Quality Standard which includes conformance to the QS-9000 (ISO 9001) Quality System Standard. A mutually acceptable Quality Control Plan as described the
19、rein is required for source approval to the requirements of this specification. 6.2 Approval Parts supplied against contracts or purchase orders citing this specification shall be equivalent in all respects to those samples, which were approved by the purchaser. No changes in formulation or processi
20、ng practices are permitted without approval. In the event that changes in material, properties, processing practices, construction, color, or labeling of the product are required, the supplier shall notify Materials Engineering, TDTC and International Purchasing and Supplier Development of the propo
21、sed change(s). Test data indicating conformance to all requirements of this specification, test samples, and new or amended or updated Material Safety Data Sheet(s) (MSDS), in accordance with CFR Title 29, Part 1910 shall be submitted with the request for change. 6.3 Process Control The supplier sha
22、ll either perform and report results of tests on specific lots of parts produced or provide statistical evidence of the lot having been produced in a state of statistical control and with a process capable of providing all required properties. The part supplier and the plant metallurgist and/or the
23、quality control manager of the using International plant may determine testing and reporting requirements on specific products. 7.0 SHIPPING, PACKING AND IDENTIFICATION Loading, packing and identification shall be in accordance with International Manufacturing Std.
