This specification covers the general requirements for Audio Frequency Amp1 ifiers used in Aircraft Intracommunication and Intercommuni cat ions Systems. helmet or in the oxygen mask. The amplifier shall be

The individu

17、al item requirements shall be as ,pecified herein and in accordance with the applicable detail specification. n the event of any conflict between the requirements of this specification and the detail specification, the latter shall govern. (If a specific requirement specified herein is not required

18、for an item, it shall be so indicated on the specification sheet (e.g., Shock - N/A).) 3.2 Qualification. Amplifiers furnished under this specification shall In be products which are qualified for listing on the applicable qualified products list (QPL) at the time set for opening of bids (see 4.4 an

19、d 6.3). the event that no vendors are listed on the proper QPL, then the procuring activity shall require First Article testing equivalent to Qualification testing prior to the delivery of any production units. The qualifying activity shall have cognizance over any First Article performed under this

Amplifiers furnished under this spec- ification not covered by specification sheets or not qualified at the time set for the opening

21、of bids, shall be subjected to the tests specified in 4.4 (see 4.4.5). 3.3 Materials. 3.3.1 Selection of Darts and materials. Selection of parts and materials shall be in accordance with MIL-E-5400. 3.3.1.1 ADDrovai of nonstandard Darts and materi al s. Approval of non- 3.3.2 Funqus. The amplifiers

Steel parts shall be cadmium plated in accordance with QQ-P-416 Type II or III. 3.3.10 Insulatins materials. Electrical insulating materials shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-454, Requirement 11. 3.3.11

26、Embedment (Dottinql. Embedment compounds shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-454, Requirement 47. P * 3.3.12 Soldering. 27、4138 309 D MI L-A-23595D (AS) * 3.4 Desisn and construction. lhe amplifier shall conform with all the applicable requirements of MIL-E-5400, Class I, for design and construction, unless otherwise specified herein or in the applicable specification sheet. lhe interior of the amplifier housing shall b

28、e potted to prevent corrosion of internal components due to environmental exposure. 3.4.1 Form factor. lhe form factor shall be as specified in the 3.4.1.1 Weiqht. The weight of the amplifier shall not exceed 0.75 applicable detail specification sheet. ounce. 3.4.1.2 Color. lhe color of the amplifie

29、r shall be black. 3.4.2 Connections. The connections shall be as specified in the applicable detail specification sheet. 3.4.3 Housinq. lhe housing shall be constructed so that it shall be capable of demonstrating conformance to all the requirements and tests of this specification. The preferred con

30、struction shall be of aluminum alloy. How- ever, a molded plastic case may be used if suitable shielding is provided. 3.4.3.1 Pin stress. The amplifier output pins shall be capable of withstanding a force of 45 pounds applied to the pins in a plane 90 degrees to their projection when tested in accor

31、dance with 4.7.23 without cracking, splitting, separating or causing any other effect that would render the amp1 i fier unserviceable. 3.4.4 DC Dower reauirements. lhe amplifier shall be designed to accept the DC supply voltage at the output terminals. lhe amplifier shall provide specified performan

32、ce with any supply voltage in the range from 22.0 to 30.0 volts DC. Under low voltage conditions, 12.0 to 22.0 volts DC, the gain shall be as specified in 3.5.2.3. lhe amplifier shall not be polarity sensitive. 3.5 Electrical characteristics. 3.5.1 Function. The amplifier shall provide amplification

33、 of signals derived from the output of a 5 2 1 ohms dynamic-type microphone. Amplified microphone signals shall be capable of delivering rated output voltage into 100 ohms & 1% at 1000 Hz. 3.4.4. lhe amplifier shall be powered as described in 3.5.2 M. 3.5.2.1 Gain under standard conditions. With a n

34、ominal input voltage of 250 microvolts RMS, the amplifier shall have a voltage gain of 61 & 1 dB at 1000 Hz when tested in accordance with 4.7.1 and 4.3.1. The response between 50 and 10,000 Hz shall be within the limits of Figure 1. The gain at 100,000 Hz shall be no more than 20 dB. lhe voltage ga

36、under temperature-altitude conditions. When the amplifier is subjected to the conditions of 4.7.22.1 and is operated between the extremes of -54 to -35 degrees C, the gain may decrease by a maximum of 6 dB referenced to the output under standard conditions at 1000 Hz. between -34 and +55 degrees C,

37、the gain may not vary by more than +3 dB when referenced to the output under standard conditions at 1000 Hz. When operated 3.5.2.3 Gain under low DC voltaqe conditions. The amplifiers 1000 Hz gain shall be not more than -12 dB, referenced to the output obtained with a power source of 27.5 volts, whe

38、n the power source voltage is varied between the limits of 12 and 22 volts. 3.5.2.4 Gain stabilization time. The amplifier gain of 61 2 1 dB at 1000 Hz shall be attained within 1 dB in 100 milliseconds or less after the volts, i- application of DC input power. Under low voltage conditions, 12 to 22

39、the amplifier shall attain the gain required by 3.5.2.3 within 150 mil seconds or less after the application of DC input power. 3.5.3 Impedance. The input impedance of the amplifier shall be -2 ohms at 1000 Hz. 100 ohm (11%) resistive load. 3.5.4 Voltaqes. The amplifier shall provide rated output vo

40、ltage 5 t 10, nto a * 3.5.4.1 Siqnal input voltaqe. The nominal signal input voltage shali be 250 microvolts RMS with a tolerance of &5%. used for test purposes un1 ess otherwi se speci fi ed. 3.5.4.2 Bias voltaqe. The nominal bias voltage shall be 27.5 volts DC with a tolerance of 25%. The nominal

41、operating range shall be 22 to 30 volts DC. The bias voltage refers to the voltage of the DC power supply of Figure 2 unless otherwise specified. The nominal operating range shall apply for test purposes un1 ess otherwise specified. 3.5.5 Linearitv. When a 1000 Hz input signal is varied between 50 a

42、nd 500 microvolts, the output shall maintain a constant gain of 61 & 1 dB over the nominal bias voltage range of 22 to 30 volts DC. * 3.5.6 Deleted. This input voltage shall be 3.5.7 Distortion. The total harmonic distortion shall not exceed 2.0% between 300 and 3000 Hz when tested at the voltages s

43、pecified in 3.5.4. low voltage conditions, 12 to 22 volts, the distortion shall not exceed 12% between 300 and 3000 Hz. 3.5.8 AmDlifier stability. The amplifier shall be stable and show no evidence of regenerat i on or osci 11 ati on when operated with input or output circuits terminated in the requ

44、ired impedance. shall occur when the power source is varied between the limits of 12 to 30 volts DC, no damage shall result from amplifier operation with input and/or output terminated in either open or short circuits. 46、mal operation when the voltage is returned to operating limits. 3.5.2.1 upon removal of the overload condition. The amplifier shall meet the performance requirements of * 3.5.10 Undervol taqe protect ion. The amp1 if i er shall not be damaged by DC bias voltages below the minimum specified in 3.5.4.

47、2 and shall auto- matically resume normal operation as specified in 3.5.2.4 when the DC bias voltage returns within the limits specified in 3.5.4. 3.5.11 Voltaae output. The amplifier shall be capable of providing a minimum of 0.9 volt RMS at 1000 Hz with less than 10% total harmonic distortion. 3.5

48、.12 Internal noise. Noise level at the output shall not exceed 5 millivolt true RMS when tested in accordance with 4.7.13. * 3.5.13 Input current. The amplifier shall require less than 20.0 mA DC when operated in accordance with Figure 2. * 3.5.14 Electromaqnetic environment (EME). The audio amplifi

49、er shall be designed, analyzed, installed, and tested to perform its function in the worldwide electromagnetic environment (EME) with out any malfunction or degradation of performance. * 3.5.14.1 Electromaqnetic comatibilitv (EMC). The audio amplifier shall perform its individually designed functions in a common Electromagnetic Environment (EME) with out causing or suffering unacceptable degradation due to Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) to or from o
