This specification covers the design, development, performance, and test requirements for the Antenna Group, OE-418(V)/SRC, hereinafter referred to as the antenna group. 5.5-meter (m) (18-foot (ft) twin-whip co

The antenna group can be impedance matched to provide broadband frequency coverage in the 10-megahertz (MHz) to 30-MHz range for high frequency (HF) shipboard transmitting systems. 18、as been obtained. 3. REQU I REMENTS 3.1 General. The antenna group shall be in accordance with MIL-E-16400G to .the extent specified herein. 3.1.1 First article. When specified in the contract or purchase order, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.4 and 6.3). 3.1.2 Operati
19、onal requirements. The antenna group shall give reliable performance within the limits specified herein, under conditions of intermi ttent or continuous operation during exposure to adverse conditions normally encountered in Naval shipboard communication service. GFM, if any, including either Government-furnished information (GFI) or
21、Government-furnished equipment (GFE), shall be as specified (see 6.2 and 6.8). 3.2 Parts, materials, and processes. Parts, materials, and processes shall be ln accordance with the Parts, materials and processes paragraph of MIL-E-16400G to the extent specified herein. 3,2.1 Selec$ion of parts, mater

Selection of parts, materials, and processes shall be in accordance with the Selection paragraph of MIL-E-16400G to the extent specified in 3.2.2 through 3.2.4.2. 3.2.2 - Parts, Parts shall be as specified in 3.2.2.1 through 3.2.2.4. 3.2.2.1 Individual selection. The performance
23、 of the antenna group shall not be dependent on the selection of individual parts, unless such selection is specifically approved by the procuring activity. only with the approval of the procuring activity. 24、965. 3.2.2,3 Connectors, radio frequency (RF) . Fiberglass insulators shall be treated to resist deterioration from sunlight and
25、salt spray and shall be nonhygroscopic. The antenna insu1 ator shall be a permanently assembled sing1 e 3.2,2,2 Nonstandard parts usage. Nonstandard parts shall be employed 3,2.2,4 Insulators. Insulators shall conform to the electrical . part. 3.2.3 Materials. Materials shall be as specified in 3.2.
26、3.1 through 3.2.3.4, 3.2.3.1 Selection of materials. Where metal-to-metal contact of dissimilar metals occurs, the selection of materials shall be in accordance with the Dissimilar metals paragraph of MIL-E-l6400G, for combinations of metals subject to immersion, splashing, or spray from sea water.

31、mum magnetic signature in accordance with the requirements specified in the Magnetic materials paragraph of MIL-E-16400G. 3.2.4 Processes. Processes shall be as specified in 3.2.4,l and 3.2.4.2. 3.2.4.1 Soldering. Soldering shall conform to MIL-STD-454, Requirement 5. 3.2.4.2 Welds. Structural weldi
32、ng shall conform to MIL-STD-454, 3.3 Design. Antenna group design shall be as specified in 3.3.1 through Requirement 1r 3.3.9.1. 3.3.1 Antenna group capability. When installed in the design shipboard location, the antenna group shall provide a transmitting capability in the 10-MHz to 30-MHz range, M
33、ajor components of the antenna group shall be as specified in TABLE I. 3.3.3 Internal interfaces. Internal interfaces of the antenna group shall include interconnections between the two ship antennas and the matching network enclosure and between the matching network enclosure and the transmission 1

The antenna group shall interface wi
35、th a fixed foundation on the ship in accordance with the mounting configuration and requirements of SPAWAR DWG 0330411. 3.3.5 Protective devices. Electromagnetic pul se (EMP) protective device( s), Fischer Custom Communications Model FCC-35OA-5000A-IL-Z3/U, or equal , shall be installed in the match
36、ing network enclosure. 3.3.6 Reliability design. Reliability design shall be as specified in 3.3.6.1 and 3.3.6.2. 3,3.6.1 Oeratinq. Temperature, power, and voltage stress levels and ratios, as applicable, shall be included in all mean-time-between-failures estimates. Derating shall be in accordance
37、with MIL-STD-454, Requirement 18. 3.3.6.2 Tolerance sensitivity. The design of the antenna group shall minimize failures due to parameter change as a function of manufacturing to1 erances, envi ronmental factors, and age. 40、k gasses effects insu1 ators 3.3.7 Maintenance design. Maintenance design shall be as specified in 3.3.7.1 through 3.3. / ,6 . 3.3.7.1 Throwaway subassemblies. The designation of subassemblies as throw-away shall be subject to approval of the procuring activity. 3.3.7.2 Repairable subassemblies. Sub
41、assembl les designated as repairable shall be designed for ease of maintenance (see 6.6). 3.3.7.3 Adjustment and alignment. Except for allowable impedance trimming adjustments, the antenna group chal 1 not require component adjustment or alignment when installed in the ship, or during maintenance or

The matching network enclosure shall be so arranged that access to any part shall not require removal of other parts, except access covers. 3.3.7.

The design of the antenna group shall conform to the Rounded corners and edges and Moisture pockets paragraphs of MIL-E-16400G. 3.3.8.1 Enclosures. The
45、degree of enclosure for the feedbox shall be splashproof as specified in MIL-STD-108. 3.3.8.2 Antenna whip elements. The tops of the antenna whip elements The Antenna shall be closed to prevent the entry of water and salt spray. Assembly, AS-( )/U, as a whole, shall be splashproof as specified in MI
46、L-STD-108. 3.3.9 Safety design. The safety requirements for the antenna group shall be i n accordance with MfL-STD-454, Requirement 1. 3.3.9.1 Electric shock hazard labeling. Hazard labels shall be permanently attached to each antenna in a position readily visible to personnel in the area and shall
47、contain the following in the upper triangle: DANGER RADIO FREQUENCY SHOCK HAZARD The following statement shall appear in the lower triangle: A RADIO FREQUENCY SHOCK HAZARD MAY EXIST TO PERSONNEL CONTACTING THE ANTENNA Color and format shall conform to ANSI C95.2-66. Dimension D as specified in ANSI
48、C95.2-66, Figure 1, shall be at least 0.3185 centimeter (cm) (0.125 inch (in. 1). 3.4 Construction. Construction shall be as specified in 3.4.1 and 3.4.2. 3.4.1 EMP device installation. Specified EMP devices shall be mounted in the matching network enclosure at the antenna feed points(s1 (see 3.3.5)
