In the event of a conflic

13、t between the text of this specification and the references cited herein, the text of this specification shall take precedence. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Samples. Samples are furnished solely for guidance and information to the contractor (see 6.3). Variation from this specification may appear in the samp

14、le, in which case the specification shall govern. 3.2 Firs,t article. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), before production is commenced, the first article consisting of the number of finished club carriers specified by the procuring activity (see 6.2) shall be submitted, or made available, to the

15、 contracting officer or his authorized representative for approval. The approval of the first article authorizes the commencement of production, but does not relieve the supplier of responsibility for compliance with all provisions of this specification. The first article shall be manufactured by th

16、e supplier in the same facilities to be used for the manufacture of the production items. 3.3 Materials. 3.3.1 Webbing, cotton. The webbing shall be 2 inches wide, dyed olive drab shade No. 7, water repellent and mildew-resistant treated, conforming to type III, class 4 of MIL-W-530. 3.3.2 Thread, p

17、olyester. The thread shall be size Y, 4 ply conforming to type I, class 1, subclass A or type II, class 1, subclass A of V-T-285. 3.3.2.1 Color and colorfastness. The thread shall be dyed olive drab shade S-1 cable No. 66022, (See DoD Standard Color Card of Official Standardized Shades for Sewing Th

18、read, 1968. The dyed thread shall show good fastness to chlorine bleaching, laundering and weathering when tested as specified in V-T-285. 3.3.3 Hook, double, brass, black chemical finish. The label shall conform to type IV, class 5 of DDD-L-20, and shall be located on the back of the club carrier. The item nomenc

20、lature shall be Carrier, Club; Policemans: OD. 3.4 Design. The club carrier shall be the U.S. Marine Corps design shown in Figure 1, The club carrier shall have double hooks and webbing stitched to accommodate the club. 3.5 Construction, The construction shall conform in all respects to Figure 1 and

21、 as specified herein. The club carrier shall be manufactured - in accordance with the requirements specified herein. The supplier is not required to follow the exact sequence of operations, but all operations specified shall be used to manufacture the club carrier. 3.5.1 Stitches, seams and stitchin

22、gs. Stitches, seams and stitching types specified in Table I shall conform to FED-STD-751. The number of stitches per inch as specified in Table I indicates the minimum and maxi- mum number permitted. 3.5.1.1 Backstitching. Thread breaks in stitching shall be backstitched not less than 1 inch at eac

23、h break. Stitching shall be backstitched not less than 1/2 inch at the ends, except where ends are held down by other stitchings. Thread tension shall be maintained so that there will be no loose stitching and that the lock will be embedded in the center of the materials sewed. All thread ends shall

The occurrence 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspectio

31、n. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection re

32、quirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government . The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements . 4.1.1 Certificate of

33、 compliance. Where certificates of compliance are submitted, the Government reserves the right to check test such items to determine the validity of the certification. 4.2 Classification of inspection. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: 1. 2. First article inspec

Unless otherwise specified, all inspections shall be performed in accoraance with the test conditions specified in MIL-STD- 105 . 4.4 First article inspection. 35、e of a completely fabricated club carrier for all provisions of this specification. 4.5 Quality conformance inspection. 4.5.1 Component and material inspection. In accordance with 4.1 above, components and materials shall b e inspected and tested in accordance with all the requirements of referenced

36、 specifications, drawings, and standards unless otherwise excluded, amended, modified or qualified in this specification or applicable purchase documents. 4.5.2 End item sampling examination. As a final step in the contractors production control plan, before formation of the lot, each carrier shall

37、be examined on an inspection table. After formation of the lot, the club carrier shall be examined for the defects listed in 4.5.2.1 and 4.5.2.2. AQLs shall be as indicated in 4.5.2.3.
