REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Standard sample The finished cloth shall match the standard sample for shade, and shall be equal to or better than the standa

17、-29137A 3.4 Color The color of the cloth shall be as specified (see 6.2) and shall match the standard sample. “3.4.1 Matching The color of the finished cloth shall match the standard sample under artificial daylight having a temperature of 7500 Kelvin and shall be a good approximation to the standar
18、d sample under incandescent lanplight at 2800 Kelvin . 3.4.2 Colorfastness cleaning, perspiration, and crocking equal to or better than the standard The finished cloth shall show fastness to wet-dry , -_ - sample when tested as specified in 4.5. able, the cloth shall show a minimum of “good“ fastnes

20、and shall have a finish equal to that shown by the standard sample. 3.6.1 pH The pH value of the water extract of the finished cloth shall be not less than 5.0 nor more than 8.0 when tested as specified in 4.5. 3.7 Length and put-up Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the cloth shall be furishe in
21、 -continuous lengths, each not less than 40 yards (36.6m). The cloth shall be put up in full width rolls with face side inward as specified in PPP-P-1132, 3.8 Wool content label Cloth manufactured under this specification shall be labeled in accordance with the Wool Products Labeling Act of 1939. ac

25、se his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ass
26、ure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Except as otherwise specified 4.1.1 Certificate of compliance Where certificates of compliance are submitted, the Government reserves the right to check test such items to determine the validity of the certification. *4.2 Classification o

28、appearance and shall be tested for chemical and physical properties in accordance with the applicable methods specified in 4.5. 4.4 Quality conformance inspection Inspection shall be performed in accordance with ML-STD-105, except where otherwise indicated. 4.4.1 Component and material inspection In
29、 accordance with 4.1 above, components and materials shall be tested in accordance with all the require- ments of referenced specifications, drawings, and standards unless otherwise excluded, amended, modified or qualified in the specification or applicable purchase document. 4.4.2 Examination of th
30、e end item Examination of the end item shall be in accordance with 4.4.2.1 through 4.4.2.3. 4.4.2.1 Yard-by-yard examination The required yardage of each rol1 shall be examined on the face side only, and defects clearly noticeable at normal inspection distance (3 feet) (.gm) shall be classified as l
31、isted. The defects found shall be counted regardless of their proximity to each other, except where two or more defects represent a single local condition of the cloth, in which case only the most serious defect shall be counted. A continuous defect shall be counted as one defect for each yard or fr
32、action thereof in which it occurs. acceptable quality level shall be 4.0 defects per 100 units for all defects listed. The sample unit shall be one linear yard ( .gm). 37、ntended use The cloth is intended for use as a combination inter- lining/facing for the underside of the collar of uniform coats and overcoats, 6.2 Ordering data Procurement documents should specify Che following: (a) Title, number and date of this specification.
